I’m planning on shopping for them the way I would for their birthdays or Christmas so they’ll all get personalized gifts. I don’t like getting something for pictures because that’s not really a gift for them, it’s a picture opportunity for me. I would just really think about anything that’s for the wedding because a lot of times brides think they’ll be used again and they aren’t.

I got my girls robes but it was a small part of their gifts. I really shopped for each girl individually like I would for their birthday. The tumblers are cute but not something I would appreciate as a bm. The robes are cute but better for your pictures than as an actual gift IMO.

katealice:  I wouldn’t use the robe, and I would rather my friend buy me nothing than spend money on something I won’t use. Also, I dont like the jars because I like matching sets of glasses/stemware, not one cup. I might use the tumbler to bring water to work or the gym, but I could do without it saying “bridesmaid” across it. But that’s just me.

I wouldn’t use any of those items after the wedding honestly. They’re cute but not practical. I plan on giving my girls jewelry that fits their personal style so I know it won’t be a waste of money.

I agree with PPs. The robes aren’t really a gift if they are intended to be photo props. I don’t think handled mason jars are very practical and i wouldn’t use a tumbler that said bridesmaid on it.

Trun to shop for the girls as if it was their birthday and avoid matching or monograming them all

I honestly wouldn’t like any of those as a BM.

I never wear a robe, so it wouldn’t be used again.

If you just put my name on the glasses I would use them, but not something with your namem wedding date, or bridesmaid on them.

I wouldn’t want anything that said “bridesmaid” or had wedding info on it (names, date, etc.). I know most PPs said no robes, but I got mongrammed robes for my girls and I know 2-3 of the 4 definitely use them.

That said, I didn’t ask them to wear them the morning of the wedding, nor did we use them for photos. They were just a gift, not a photo prop.

I would not use any of those. They all seem like props for pictures as opposed to gifts. Give then something you would get them for their birthday.
