@Meggiemo:  My girls originally expressed wanting their hair down and I told them that if it stayed out of their face then I was fine with whatever they chose to do (nobody wants pictures of hair flying in their face from wind or other factors). When the wedding came they couldn’t figure out what they wanted so I ended up doing their hair lol

@Meggiemo:  I vote to let them do what they want, but I always vote that, because it’s soooo much easier for you!  Haha seriously though, the less detail you control the less work you have and the happier your BMs are.  Very pretty dresses by the way!

@Meggiemo:  I like the look of some having hair up and some having hair down!

All I will say is this.

The dresses that my cousin had us wear had a similar neckline to the ones in the photo you posted above.

She also requested that we have our hair up in matching sock buns.

Given the cut of the dress and how tight it had to be on me for it to stay up, I’ll admit I was really wishing that I could have worn my hair down, not only because I just tend to feel more comfortable when my hair isn’t all pulled back, but also because I would totally have used my long hair to cover some of my cleavage! (I of course did not say anything to her about it- it was her wedding, not mine.)

Seeing as you’re paying, and it’s your wedding, you should do what you want. But just from experience, it’s really nice when the bride lets the BMs do their hair however they want.

I am paying for my girls hair, because I want it do be done professionally, however I am letting them style it how they want.  I want them to all feel pretty and comfortable.  I know I hate my hair up, and if I were asked to do that as a bm, I would oblige, but I wouldn’t be thrilled.  I’m having them all in the same dress too, and I think that is enough to unify them.  I don’t need to present them as triplets.  Maybe give them a genric style- like soft, or elegant, or romantic, or slick.

I was initially going to let my girls do what they wanted (and they still are able to have their hair up if that’s what they really want!) but I have expressed that I would prefer it down or half up or something. Having their hair down will balance out the dresses we chose. Luckily, all my girls said they feel the most confident with their hair down anyways. I also feel better with my hair down (I think it balances out my large chest area aha).

@jennmariee:  Agreed!

Everyone likes a different style so I’d let them choose.

@Meggiemo:  I’m letting my girls pick their own hair. I feel like it’s too micro-manager-ish to tell them how to do their hair (but that’s just me probably, I hate making people do things they don’t want to do). Don’t worry if one has similar hair to you – you’ll be wearing the white dress, you’ll stand out 😉 I think their hair will look good either up or down with those dresses.

My BM had insecurities that she was showing too much clevage and asked to wear hers down. I vote let them do what they are comfortable doing 🙂

It was much funner going to the salon and seeing what she chose 🙂
