I dont know. My girls wore short (knee length dresses) and I honestly have never noticed their legs in my pictures. I noticed the color of the dresses, how they fit, and how happy my girls seem. But I didnt notice their legs at all.

Hose are starting to be seen as old fashioned, I think. Not to mention being uncomfortable and running the risk of getting a run and creating a whole new problem!

I personally think that if somebody is focusing on a leg scar instead of the actual people in the picture, they’re missing the point…I would never ask my bridesmaids to wear stockings to cover anything if they didn’t want to.

My wedding is in the summer and I wouldnt dare ask them to wear stockings. I find it old-fashioned and they would think I am ridiculous for asking them to cover their legs.

Stockings are only appropriate at the Buckingham Palace.

I guess I don’t understand the point of the OP?

Anyway, pantyhose are gross.

@vorpalette:  I dont either because I didnt even see an actual QUESTION. My grandmother asked me if I was wearing pantyhose under my dress when I saw her this weekend. She is 80 years old. LOL

I think panty hose/stockings are appropriate in the winter to keep warm.  For summer, if bare legs are an issue, I would suggest that Sally Hansen spray on stuff (airbrush pantyhose).  I have never used it but heard good things about it.  It’s supposed to cover imperfections like makeup.  And supposedly it doesn’t look like you’re wearing anything.

@yippee62913:  Do you mean tights? Pantyhose/stockings that are sheer would never, ever keep anyone warm in a Michigan winter. Thick tights, sure, with leggings underneath, tall socks, and knee high boots.

@Loveunderwill:  Why would a bridesmaid wear thigh highs and a garter belt under her bridesmaid dress?

@Loveunderwill:  By special occasion I do hope you mean the bedroom and not a church during a wedding.

I associate pantyhose with being a kid in church itchy & uncomfortable. Haven’t worn them in over a decade & none of my girls would wear them.

Thick tights with a tunic in fall or winter sure but never pantyhose.
