Hey hive! I’m in need of some advice from all you wonderful ladies. Here’s the issue: I have 6 bridesmaids of all different heights & sizes. One of the lovely ladies that will be standing beside me on my big day happens to be my niece who’s the ripe young age of 10 but the wedding is a little over a year away so she’ll be 11 by the day of. She’s a little under 5 feet tall right now and as much as I hate to admit it, she’s developing way too early for my taste lol. My issue is finding a style of dress that’s appropriate for her age but also that the other ladies won’t feel matronly. My colors are navy and gray/silver and I want to incorporate polka dots as much as possible without making everything look goofy and childish. I’m not against the girls all wearing different dresses but I want to make sure it still looks cohesive & put together. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks hive!

@Mandy-Moore12-13-14: I would suggest picking a color, a length and a designer and letting the girls pick their own dresses from that.
Maybe do navy dress with silver shoes.

convertible wrap dresses, maybe? Technically the same dress, but can be wrapped in multiple ways to look like different dresses.
I think there are some sellers on Etsy who do this as well.

Maybe you can do dresses for the bridesmaids in your wedding color with a polka dot belts…while dressing your niece in a polka dot dress…This way she is not going to look youthful while your bridsmaids will look matronly next to her…she will look more like a child in this type of the dress…besides that’s what she still is in her age..

Use Dessy for example, and pick a color/fabric/length that they can all stick to. I’ve seen this done beautifully.
