Haha don’t worry I’d be mad too! That sucks! Poo poo to her new store :p

I would seriously cancel my order and take her to court  for whatever she doesn’t give you. She knew your wedding date, and sold you the dress knowing you expected a discount on dresses that you can’t get anymore. I think Judge Judy would agree.

That totally sucks! Did they say what’s happening with your dress order or do you have it already? I’m sure she’ll get the karma kick she deserves!

That sucks. I’d see if there IS someplace that is taking their business and would perhaps honor some of the discount if not all. At the very least I’d call around to a few stores that carry the dress.

Tell them you’ll be ordering 5 and that you’d been offered a deal elsewhere – see if they can meet you in the middle or see what they can do.

I dig your “super mean face.”  HA!  Honestly, I’d be pissed too, that’s totally unacceptable.  Talk about a bait and switch.

So do you have your dress in your possession?  Given the fact that they’re closing the store until AFTER your wedding, I sure hope so.  What about those brides who have ordered, but haven’t recieved their dresses yet?

Sometimes, sadly, last minute decisions have to be made. When you ordered your dress, maybe the thought about closing was there, but maybe they were doing everything to avoid it too. I would be frustrated, but that’s the business in this economy nowadays.

That really does suck but unfortunately I don’t think there is much you can do it about it at this point.

The good thing is that you should be able to get a discount at many places just because of the number of girls you have.  I live in TN and all my bridesmaids were in MA/NY so it didn’t make sense for them to buy where I bought my dress.  They ended up all ordering from a store near my MOH in Mass but they got 20% off just because I had all six of them order together.  Try to call around and see if other stores near you offer discounts if you order a certain number of dresses from them.

@MrsPinkPeony: Yeah I guess you’re right. I’d still be pissed though, I’d probably go on a decent internet/ word of mouth smear campaign.

I can absolutely guarantee that I would have been a raging lunatic if that were me.

She said that you should understand that she’s totally screwing you over? Um, ok?! That makes sense. No wonder her shops closing. Sounds like she’s not the brightest bulb in the box…

@MrsPinkPeony: Does she have other store locations? So they are moving into another location? Will your dress get shipped to the new store?

Ok wait, if they are keeping the business just not the building lease, she should still be able to order the dresses you want.
