usually a few hours in the refrigerator,(I usually buy two cans of whole water chestnuts) then i cut slices of bacon in half to make them shorter, wrap it around the water chestnut and hold it together with a toothpick, then bake in the oven until the bacon is crispy adding more soy sauce if you want.  They are soooo delicious and can be served room temp or warm!

I do the waterchestnuts too, but just do them a little different.  I don’t marinate mine, wrap them in bacon and put a tootpick thru each.  When the bacon is almost done, I remove them from the oven, dip in barbque sauce and bake a few more minutes.

A few more thoughts, deviled eggs are an old school fav, plus it is Easter!

Something easy, a variety of cut up cheeses with fruit (melon, grapes), crackers on the side.

Veggie tray with dip is another easy fav.

Then there is always the spinich dip in the bread bowl……..yummmmmm

I’m liking the soy sauce idea……think I’ll do that next time I make mine.
