I don’t know of anything in or near Torrence, but there is the Cat n Fiddle in Hollywood. Love their patio, and I usually spot a famous face there which is fun for out of towners.

We like the Kingshead in Santa Monica. They have a backroom but I think they use it for tea on Sundays. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a British pub in Torrance.

I like the food at the Kingshead, though we generally go there for the beer. It seems pretty authentic in the food department.

have you ever been to the fox and hounds in studio city?  pretty much a straight-up bar, but they do have tasty grub too!

There’s Kings Head right by the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica and another one on that street too, though the name escapes me.  Also, in West LA/Brentwood there’s Bar Food… it’s owned by a Dubliner and so it has more of an Irish spin on things (plenty of beer and whisky selections).  The food is good – they have a mix of traditional pub grub and some more upscale items… the place is a bit more upscale than Kings Head but I think the prices are comparable.
