Happy hour and go for a walk afterwards.  Or, we’ll buy a bottle of wine and go on a hike outside the city.  Bike ride?  Picnic?

Hm. those are all weather dependent…. haha.  You two could always just make dinner together and watch a movie or something.

Make pizza yourself!  It’s super cheap and lots of fun — and of course, movies and board games complete the night πŸ™‚

We grill out, play cornhole, watch sports, movies, or whatever is lingering on DVR. Or we go to Books a Million and chill, reading magazines and perusing the books. Doesn’t sound really exciting, but we love it!

Sometimes we’ll pack a picnic and go to the park to eat and play with my dog and play badmiton (sp?). If it isn’t as nice out, we’ll pick up a cheaper dinner or make dinner at home and then go get older movies with a theme (like, one weekend we watched all the back to the future movies. one weekend we started the rocky movies. one weekend we did the matrix movies, etc). i think that going for older movies is sometimes more fun because its a little different than seeing the latest NOW movie that will be forgotten in a year. Plus, older movies are cheaper πŸ™‚

We usually go for a walk around the neighborhood, cook together, have a glass of wine (or a bottle, hehe), watch a movie, play scrabble, etc.  or we do the opposite…keep the tv and computer off, and sit on the couch and just talk.

We hang out in the back yard with a bottle of wine and talk, if the weather is nice. Order chinese food or pizza and get a movie from the redbox. Look up free events in your area and check them out. Remember thats its about the time you spend, not what you are doing. Good luck, I feel like we are constantly broke so have learned to be inventive.

one of my favorite ‘dates’ has always been to go to barnes and noble together and spend the evening browsing together; eventually we both end up reading something that totally doesn’t interest the other person, but we share a lot before we get to that point, haha. It’s very relaxing, it’s out of the house, but it’s free!

I also love love love to go out dancing; I’m a swing dancer and most of the dance halls near where I used to live are only about $10 per person, so that makes for a great cheap date!

Make pasta (cause it is cheap) play board games. or cards. (boggle is one of our favs.) Or checkers/chess (we don’t play these that often but they are always fun)!

Then watch a movie or play video games. πŸ™‚
Anything outside is also good. Catch, or bike ride.

Redbox Movie and homemade pizza. Or nachos. We live in the downtown area of our city, so we also take walks to see what’s going on in the city. On weekends there is always a band playing for free or something going on. It’s great.

we make steaks on the grill. You can make two steak dinners for the price of just one at a restaurant and still feel like you’re splurging a little. We also have beers and catch up about our day while he’s doing his grilling thing… πŸ™‚

Rent a movie-make yourselves a fancy dinner- take a walk-go on a picnic

Search free or cheap things to do in your area. You can usually find something. Look for coupons-I know that hear a local tv & radio station offers half off discounts for some places.

We both like video games, so we do that sometimes if we’re trying to save money. We also live across the street from the best ice cream shop in the universe, and close to a huge park, so we often get a couple of cones and wander through the trails, talking and joking around.
