I will be going with a combo of a brooch/sola flower bouquet for me and all my girls. It will cost me about $40 for mine and $25ish for my girls. I bought a lot of red/clear brooches on ebay the other day (19 total) for $17.53 with shipping. It was an easy choice after i priced out bouquets and a few different flowers places and i was quoted over $500 for something so simple! Search around on pinterest!

I’m making a brooch bouquet but if I could have afforded it I would have done real flowers.

As for the brooches I’ve been wiring them, (giving them stems) as I’ve received them.

At our mall we have a store called Glitter, it’s a dollar store for accesories. I bought about 25 small brooches there. I found others at department store for 3-5 dollars that are much bigger. And my grandma, the crazy garage sale lady has a whole box of things to give me.

I’m also thinking about asking people to each bring a brooch to my bridal shower.

I’m thinking it will only cost me about $75 or less.

Also- I’m the artsy type, I was in school for art and recently changed so I’ve needed some relief of artistic tension! I’ve been enjoying making it.

I think it depends what your dress looks like. I wanted to do a brooch bouquet, but my dress has a lot of beading on the top and I think a brooch bouquet would take away from my dress.

My setting is on a beach in Hawaii…too natural to have a brooch bouquet. I think they work well for very formal and/or church weddings.
