Don’t feel like you have to put yourself in a "color box" just because of the brown and blue.  I had a hard time with it too – I used brown and blue for my wedding in Oct. 2006.  I got all my flowers at Costco the day before the wedding, and also was limited to what was there.  Luckily, because it was fall, the majority of the available flowers were in fall colors as well.

For the bridesmaids, I did a simple bouquet of two-toned roses – hard to describe the color – with sprigs of dried lavender mixed in (to tie it in to my bouquet, which was COMPLETELY different.

I think pumpkins and leaves would really be great at the reception to tie it all together.

I sent you a message with a link to some pics.

Good luck!

My wedding colors were chocolate brown and light blue (Aug. 2006). My bridesmaids wore brown dresses with a light brown sash. They carried cream roses and light blue delphiniums in their bouquet. I initially wanted all light blue hydrangeas but the florist told me the cream roses will pop against the brown of their dresses and the delphiniums matched the light blue on their dresses exactly! My colors changed to red for the Chinese wedding banquet because I wanted red favors. If you go on the Chinese Knot Weddings Board and find my bio under atam, I have pictures.

I’m also having a brown/blue theme for my 9/27/08 wedding!  I am having a difficult time choosing flower colors too.  I am chinese and I know my mom would not like it if i chose white flowers (not a good color for a happy occassion).  My Bridesmaid or Best Man are wearing brown dresses with blue sash.  So I decided to go with maybe fuschia or bright green.

we are also facing this dilemna although we are looking at summer flowers.  i am leaning toward mostly bright pinks (w our blue dresses, brown tuxes, etc) but Fiance is leaning towards oranges. we might compromise with corals and cremes. we would do yellow but i think it would clash w my champagne colored dress.  if your dress is white or ivory i think you have no problems at all using those variety of colors- they all go together well.

green or orange would be cool accents colors and work well in your flowers
