I know there are white plastic chairs that people use all the time, but has anyone ever rented the brown plastic chairs for their ceremony? We are having an outdoor ceremony in a friend’s back yard and I am thinking of using the brown folding chairs over the white ones just because I think they will look better. What do you guys think?

I think the white would look more ceremony-ish IMO. Assuming the back yard isn’t the size of a state park or something, I think the brown might not come across as you want it to. That’s just my opinion though. 🙂

I rent chairs for backyard parties several times a year and usually go with the white ones–they generally look nicer for some reasons. The brown ones may blend in a little too much with your scenery or look like camo (unless that’s the look you’re going for, in that case proceed!).

if there’s a difference in price, go with the cheaper option. no one will even notice what color they are when people are sitting in them 🙂

Here is a picture of a ceremony with brown chairs. This is pretty much what ours is going to look like minus the large wooden thing.

What are your wedding colors? Unless brown is one of the main colors, I would stick with white.

Wow, I’m surprised that there are so few votes for brown. I like the brown because of the outdoor setting. You could argue that the brown “resembles” wooden pews/benches as if you were in a church. Then again, I like brown and it is my main color. If you like it, go for it.

I really don’t like the brown. They remind me of school assemblies or something.
