Well if you happen to have any Symphony candy bars laying around you can put spread half your batter in the pan, lay a few Symphony bars on top, then spread on the remaining batter.  It is the simplest but most delicious way I’ve found to doctor up plain brownie mix.  Since you probably don’t have Symphony bars in the pantry, I’d maybe whip up a ganache frosting or possibly an espresso glaze to top the plain brownies with.

We add coffee to our brownies!! Gives them a rich, yummy flavor. The coffee actually brings out the flavor of the chocolate. (FI is a chef!!! )

By the way, we use cafe bustelo. Found at any grocery store. Its super yummy.

you can add 2-3 tbsp coffee or instant coffee

cheesecake brownies are awesome! google the recipe, bascially you mix cream cheese, sugar, one egg together, spoon this over the top and swirl in, so good!

brownies are better in a metal pan, no idea. make sure to take them out a little early if you like them fudgy.

also if you have any leftover coffee, use in place of the water in the recipe. so good!!

Add some macademia nuts or even almonds to the mixture before baking. So yummy!

I always add chocolate chunks, or chips, whichever I have on hand. It’s not a very fancy addition but it adds just a little extra chocolatey-ness that my husband really loves.

I like to add frozen berries if I’m after a more desert-y texture 🙂
