Is it cold where you are this time of year? I ask because I've been wearing tights with skirts and dresses since like the past three weeks anyway just because of the weather. If it's cool out, I think it'll look perfectly natural and you won't need to worry about covering your legs up with makeup...unless your dresses look particularly summery? Can you post pics?
Can you just mention to your photog that you want them Photoshopped out? It's pretty simple for him/her to do and less uncomfortable than putting makeup on your legs or wearing pantyhose.
I'd cover them with makeup and photoshop out anything that you can still see in the pictures.
Hey! I was totally in your boat last Saturday! -- And I was determined to wear the dress I bought for the occasion. I just made photographer aware of them, and she said not to worry, she would photoshop the bruises out. :)
depends on the dresses, do any of them look great with leggings? Or can you wear high boots?
Bruises are pretty easy to photoshop out. I'd ask your photog what your options are if you are really worried. Just don't wear flesh-toned pantyhose, they are so dated that it will look weird in your pictures! If you go the tights route, go with a darker color or (subtle) texture :-).

I love dresses. I have been collecting dresses that I had pictured myself wearing for my engagement photos since, basically, when we got engaged.
Unfortunately, however, my legs bruise SO easily. I have no idea what I do... I have never NOT had bruises on my legs, from what I can remember.
I tested out covering them up with makeup tonight, and I did manage to make the worst one (a lovely dark purple number) disappear really well. I have some stage makeup training, so covering it up isn't too much of a problem.
My question to the bees, though, is this: If you were in my situation, would you just cover them up with makeup, or would you wear hose as well?
All my shoes are close toed, if that makes a difference.
