- Wedding: October 2013
Hi Bees! I need some input on what girls have done that has worked well as far as the pre-wedding timeline. (Saturday afternoon wedding/Friday evening rehearsal dinner just for the wedding party/hoping to do a Friday night reception for all guests but TBD).
Did you do lunch with your bridesmaids the day before your wedding? Or is that day so crazy that two days before was better? I lean towards doing a bridal lunch the day before. Did you also do nails after lunch that same day?
I would like to do something with a wider group of girls before the wedding, since my wedding party is really small, and I have a ton of gfs flying across the country to be at my wedding. We are already planning to do drinks on the Thursday before the wedding, but I was thinking it would be fun to also do brunch (or do nails) with everyone. I am a little worried that turning Friday lunch/nails into a 20+ person group might be stressful. Do you think I should try to do something that Thursday morning/afternoon with whoever is in town, so that we can all spend time together? One idea is that I could get bagels and champagne (or something) and invite everyone over to my room; or I could organize a big no-host brunch somewhere; or do a large nails thing (with gel nails now, I could easily do my nails on Thursday)…
Alternatively, I also don’t want to comandeer everyone’s free time. There is lots to do at our wedding destination, and if girls want to relax on the beach or hang out with their husbands/dates, I don’t want to fill up their schedule or make them feel like they have to come to wedding events, etc. I just want to make sure my guests feel appreciated for making the trip to be there!!!
