- Wedding: July 2014
I’m having a simple July 2014 brunch wedding and today, we looked at a venue that I absolutely love. It fits perfectly with what we want our wedding to be.
But one small problem. They won’t allow us into the venue until 7 or 8 AM (I’ll have to find out for sure which one w/ the manager) that morning to decorate. They of course are doing all of the setup & food, but we’ll only have time to decorate for 2 hours-ish, as we were talking about a 10:30 a.m. ceremony.
My concerns: I’ll be busy getting ready during that time and I’m afraid things won’t be done exactly as I want them to be since I’ll be preoccupied. The upside: there will be a site. coordinator there to assist and the bridal room is just off of the reception room, so it may not be a problem to pop in every few minutes to make sure everything is being done correctly.
I just don’t want to be stressed on the morning of my wedding. I wouldn’t be opposed to pushing the ceremony back a bit to make for more time. What are your thoughts? Would 2-2.5 hours be enough time to decorate a smallish ceremony/reception area? How long did it take you to decorate?
