I suggested to FI that we put little bubble tubs with ribbon on the guests ceremony seats so they could blow bubbles when we walk out, instead of throwing rice or whatever.
He responded with ‘wouldn’t that just stain your dress? Can’t people just clap, pretty sure throwing things is just for the movies.
I just thought it would be a cute inexpensive touch, but he shut me down pretty quick 🙁
Bees that did bubbles, did it stain your dress at all?

- Wedding: March 2012 - Pelican Grand Beach Resort
Bubbles stained two dresses that I’ve worn to weddings, one of which was a bridesmaid’s dress. I didn’t have bubbles at my own wedding. We used ribbon wants instead.

I am not a fan of bubbles. 1. they stain 2. the pictures you”ll have of people making the blwing face and that just seem ridiculous.
I am opting for ribbon wands. they can show off your colors and no stupid faces

I just want to say that this makes me sad…very sad. I love bubble pictures so much but it makes sense.

It probably depends on the fabric. I opted for no bubbles because I had this worry, but also the more I thought about it, it was sort of like people spitting on you… gross!! I ended up making streamer wands. They are just like ribbon wands only with streamer- I wanted them to be really long and it was just easier with streamer.

MrsMagillToBe: Don’t you hate when they are right!!!! lol I am doing wands with bells at the end. We are both Irish and there is an Irish tradition where guests ring bells to ward off evil spirits from the couple. http://www.chanceycharmweddings.com/wedding-bells-ringing-irish-wedding-tradition/ I feel like I will always think of my wedding day and how happy I was when ever I here them. Just a thought!

MrsMagillToBe: I had bubbles after the ceremony only. It was beautful. No one blew directly onto my dress…common sense. No stains, all beautiful.
