Wow looks so nice! I'm sure it will look even better at your wedding!
Gorgeous! Bucks County is so beautiful, and your venue is fantastic!
Wow is beautiful!! =) could you let us now how much they charge? I dont want to get my hopes up ... and then find out that is expensive =( Anyway, its gorgeous!! your wedding will be spectacular =)
I went to a wedding there in September 08 and it was beautiful! It truly is a dream venue! Congrats and enjoy - can't wait to see pictures :)
The facility fee is $25/per person - that includes basic rentals of round tables, chairs, the tent, etc. That's from the rental company - Open Aire Affairs.
The actual venue charges a rental fee of $2500 for 5 hours. Each additional hour is $325. Since PSBE is a historical site, this fee is tax deductable. Events there have to end by 10pm (noise ordinances).
I forgot all about this place! I went there on a class trip in high school. It looks like you will have a simply lovely wedding day there!
I'm going to make an appointment this place is gorgeous =)
i am getting married here this summer, how did you transport guest or wedding party to the venue?
no hotels are near there
@elambrose2: We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Doylestown and just rented a bus to take the wedding party and immediate family over and back. Everyone else was on their own.
What a beautiful place! Love the look of these historic, stone colonials. And super cool that the cost is tax-deductable! (This was Mrs. Thimble's venue too.)
Oh, that's the bee that was married there? I thought it was another bee. It looks so gorgeous.
gorgeous venue! does anyone know if the tent structure is climate controlled? a/c? i am looking at a summer wedding there, and hoping it won't be painfully hot and humid in there...
thanks!
the tent is not climate controlled and if your plannig it in the summer make sure to check out the rental options and reserve! my wedding is this weekend and they had run out of the smaller fans that you can have around the perimeter of the tent and instead im getting their cooling devices and a few fans to move the air. its such a big tent im hoping with sides open it will be a nice cross breeze as well.
That's a really good point. On the day of my wedding it was 95 degrees and with the clear top it was over 100 degrees inside the tent early in the afternoon. We ended up using several of the standing ACs and small perimeter fans to cool it down. With the side walls open it was fine by the time the reception started around 6.

Hey PA girls!
Just wanted to share some pictures of our venue that were taken last weekend. We had a lovely little picnic with my FMIL and FStep-FIL who brought wine and cheese for us to enjoy on picnic benches at the venue!
So this is the Pearl S. Buck Estate and it was completely renovated this year, which came as a totaly surprise to us. They put a new skin on the tent featuring large clear panels and installes a huge covered stone patio to allow an open feel to the tent even when the weather isn't perfect - we're putting the bar out there! The place is just gorgeous and I though you might want to see it if you're considering getting married in that area. Enjoy!
