We have 45% of our budget set aside for venue + food + alcohol (including all tables/chairs/waitstaff/tips/fees etc).

I checked other because we are spending about the same on the venue, photography, and food.

I imagine so – we defined it that way based on all the budget calculators I saw on the web before we started 🙂

After our wedding most of our money went to the other stuff and not the biggies. All the bigges totalled about 45% and 55% was the rest of the junk(invitations, favors, programs, card box, rings, etc) lol

I selected other because our reception venue includes the food and alcohol as one lump price, so you can’t really get the place without the food and vice versa. They basically own my wedding budget, hahah.

i selected food, but our venue and caterer was the same (including alcohol, servers, linens, etc), so it’s sort of both

Well, we didn’t have a wedding budget because we didn’t plan anything for our wedding.  We paid for everything out of pocket that day because it was a quickie JoP ceremony.  I didn’t buy a dress – I wore an outfit I had in my closet.  I got married in front of the Falls so we didn’t pay for a venue.  I didn’t have a photographer.  Food was dinner at a local restaurant for the 8 people who were with us and our kids.  And, since that cost less than our rings, I voted other.  Our rings were our largest purchase that day.

The majority of ours went to food.

IF we are able to stick to our budget we are currently:
    13% Dress/shoes/alterations
40% Food & Rentals (tent, linens, flatware, etc)
    8% Venue
    10-15% Photography
    10-15% Flowers
That leaves 8% for all other incidentals inc alcohol… hmmm… may end up over budget.

I chose food/drink as that will take up ~22% of our total budget. Our venue was a close second at 20%.

The food, liquor, and venue are all one price.  The bulk of our budget is going to the venue.
