Post where you're going and why! Also, if you're not shy about it, post how much you've budgeted for your trip, food, etc.

Me and my fi: Undecided...but right now looking to stay in the US to save money/travel time...right now I'm focused on the keys :)

Oh the Keys are nice, we love driving down!

We went to California, spending 3 1/2 days in Napa, 1 1/2 days in San Francisco and 2 days in San Diego.  We flew Southwest one way flights, which saved us a lot of money, and rented a car with a AAA discount (we only had the car to and from Napa).  We stayed at the Avia in downtown Napa (a lot cheaper than staying in the valley) and loved it.  We did 4 winery tours/tastings for a total of about $400.  On our way back into the city, we went to the Muir Woods too.  We stayed at the Hilton Union Square and explored the city for a full day.  Lastly we stayed at the Hilton Gaslamp in San Diego and visited the zoo, Old Town and the beach.

Our plane tickets were about $1200, hotel about $1000 (we used my husband's employee discount for Hilton since this was before we moved), rental car around $400 (underage driver fee) and food/shopping was budgeted at $1500.  Everything came close to $4500.

We got married in FL so we just went to Orlando for 4 days.  We got a great deal on a hotel, got free 1 day tickets to Disney and just enjoyed the city after that.  I would say total we spent less than $1,000.

I would highly recommend this.  We had a blast but still got to have some fun.  We had the brunch on Sunday after the wedding, stayed at a local hotel that night, Monday we drove over to Orlando, stayed there until Thursday, then headed back home.  It was SO SO SO nice to have Friday - Sunday to relax and unpack at home before going back to work on Monday.

We are going to Miami for 3 nights (two on the front end, one on the back) and to Key West for 6.  We decided to keep it domestic so that we wouldn't have to spend our entire budget on airfare.  We bought our tickets a few weeks ago, nonstop from DC, for $169 RT each!  We wanted to splurge on nice hotels but weren't sure we could afford it.  But because we're going in the off season, we're staying at the Ritz Carlton South Beach (right on the beach!) for just over $200 per night with our AAA discount.  We're getting the most basic room but are hoping for the honeymoon upgrade!  We are renting a car for our drive to Key West, which is said to be an experience in itself, for about $300 for the entire trip.  Finally, our hotel in Key West is about $400 per night, but that includes breakfast, cocktails and appetizers at the waterfront bar, and a $50 spa credit per night (which will turn out to be enough for each of us to get one nice treatment).  Anyway, when it's all said and done, we're getting a pretty splurgy 9 night honeymoon for about $4500 (that includes everything from food to gas for the rental car).  We are so excited!

We haven't decided yet, but we're thinking maybe Canada. Montreal, Canadian Rockies, and/or Vancouver.

me and my fiance are looking at vacations for christmas and we figured out that you can go to either veredo, cuba or cancun, mexico for 10-days in an all inclusive 4 star resort, for $1,000 including airfair! I looked into it by going to a travel agent today, and theres actually a few resorts you can choose from for this price too. Mabey you could look into something like that?

We're taking a 5 night cruise to Bermuda. Balcony rooms are $699 per person so that puts us at around $1600 including taxes and fees. We're budgeting about $1000 for spending money on the cruise and while in Bermuda. We're also planning on hiring a car service to bring us to and from the port in NJ (we live in Upstate, NY - 4 hour drive). All together our honeymoon should end up costing close to $3000.

I used to live in Key West.  Go there!  It's so beautiful.  Stay at a cute little hotel, the Southernmost is amaing, the Hilton is awesome and right on the water, and the Marquesa (more expensive) is gorgeous.  There are a lot of fun activities to do there.

We got married in Connecticut but live in Ireland.

If we'd done a honeymoon from CT after our wedding I would have loved to go out to Martha's Vineyard and rented a house or apartment for a long weekend or a week - our wedding was in April so it was off-season and it would have been so nice to just wander around.  Or I would have gone somewhere with vineyards in the northeast and done the Bed and Breakfast thing.  (we went on our honeymoon over 2 weeks later after a 2nd 'wedding' in Ireland)

We're looking at going to Vegas, but our back-up plan is Gatlinburg, TN :). Vegas would probably cost about $1,500 for us depending on what we do and where we stay, but TN would be about $700. FI really wants to go to Vegas, so that's good motivation for us to save :).

We're looking to do Baltimore's Inner Harbor for 4-5 days (we live in NoVA).  Going to check out the aquarium, maybe catch a ball game, and definitely eat some great seafood.

We are going to a quaint little beach in between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami and staying at the only 5 diamond hotel in the Miami area. The place is far enough removed from the "craziness" of the party scene but close enough where we can have a nice drive into Miami to eat and do fun stuff and is a doable distance from other attractions/places like Key West. For two people, including air, rental car, and lodging, it came to be $2,420 total, which in my eyes is pretty darn awesome. Here's where we are staying:

    http://www.acqualinaresort.com/

It looks amazing and has gotten awesome reviews on Tripadvisor. We also went through the www.ebates.com cash back system and will get $36 cash back after our stay! The package was booked through Orbitz. Definitely take advantage of the package deals that sites like Priceline, Orbitz, and Expedia offer and shop around. Right before I booked our trip, I made sure the same exact package wasn't cheaper elsewhere. Best of luck and have a blast!

We went to Estes Park Colorado (literally adjacent to the Rocky Mountain National Park). We rented a crazy awesome house for what a nice hotel room would have cost, with an 8-person hot tub, huge TV, wrap-around porches with panoramic views, and gourmet kitchen. It ROCKED. The hiking and scenery was to die for. Highly recommend it!

We are going to Wyoming.  yes, Wyoming!  We are going to stay a night in Jackson, Wy near the Tetons in one of their many over the top luxury hotels so we make sure we get that "honeymoon" feeling and then we will rent cheaper seculded cabins in the tetons and in yellowstone.  We are just excited for some quiet time together and Yellowstone and the Tetons are one of the most beautiful backdrops.

We are going to the Bahamas, we actually won the trip so airfare and cruise is free we would have to pay for port fees and and anything extra.  It worked out perfectly, the only problem is we can't book until Feb of 2011 and hopefully the date will be available. If not we a second plan lol.

@whao1225: Oh you're going to be in North Beach!  North Beach is so much more relaxed than SoBe, but it's only about 20 minutes up Collins Ave.  Il Mulino is an incredible Italian restaurant in that hotel (which is just as beautiful in person!).  My husband's family friends own the Il Mulino group, and we love their food (I'm a sucker for their pastas especially).  And you'll be close to Aventura, which is really nice (I love the mall!).  I hope you have a ton of fun and relaxation!

I want a beach and he wants Yellowstone which means we probably won't end up either place!  I'm guessing we'll end up in Gatlinburg, TN.  We both love going and we can hide in a cabin or go out onto the town to suit our mood.

We went to Hawaii, but I would highly recommend looking into Charleston, SC as a honeymoon destination.  Hotels can be a bit expensive, but it is a gorgeous, romantic city with lots of great places to eat and tons to see.  Plus, the city is on the water and close to the beach!  I love Charleston, and it is my husband and I's #1 choice for a romantic weekend getaway.

We won a cruise with airfare, so we are going to pick puerto rico as the port of call, to sneak in a few extra days, post cruise before flying back to the states!
