We've been in a similar situation. Bonuses cut, FI was out of work for awhile, I work a second job. That's actually what's kept me from planning ANYTHING as of yet. We've got loans that helped us make it without losing the house, credit card bills are finally paid off. It's been really rough.. I know it's depressing and irritating, but stay positive. Somehow it will all work out.

Anyone else have budget blows?
A few months into our engagement I got laid off. We had to use our savings/my payout from my old employer/$$ from a relative's passing to get by. That was from March- June. Then FI had some legal issues that cost (and are costing us) probably $1700 total- the rest of what we saved after I started working, plus shower gifts of $$. NOW, FI found out because of the economy, they're only getting paid half their bonuses- his was supposed to get (aka EARNED) over $2,000 but is only getting $1,000, and pretty much just $800 after taxes. I'm already working a 2nd job- he might too until the wedding since last year he made $7,000 in bonuses and when we bought our house they added that in as part of his base salary- aka it's BASE for a reason!
Anyone else taking unexpected blows to their budget?
