@JenJenx:  I’ve heard good reviews about Jasmine’s bridal, but I don’t have any personal experience with them.  You could also consider looking into consignment stores or buying a used dress.  Best of luck!

I found mine at Davids for $200…it was on clearance.  When I went in I told them my budget was $500 and they only showed me dresses in that range.  Then we found the one on the sale rack.  Go on a week day when the crowds are less and just dig!

@JenJenx:  Well you have a LOT of options.

Church Street Bridal sells designer sample dresses(Think Kliendfields and the like). If you don’t live close- check their facebook- they can take orders over the phone and ship the dresses!

DressilyMe- is an overseas dress maker that is well known on the bee. Lots of brides have used them and you can find tons of picture reviews arround here.

There’s always David’s Bridal too. They have a lot of dresses that start at $99.

Could you tell me more about what you are looking for? I’d love to help! ANY excuse to look at dresses ๐Ÿ˜›

I found my dress at David’s Bridal, for way under what I was thinking of paying. It was on sale for $300.

Try Simply Bridal — http://www.simplybridal.com.  It’s a boutique out of LA (a real, live, reputable US store) that sells dresses online by either ordering in a standard size or sending custom measurements, and they offer at $75 alterations reimbursement.  A lot of dresses there are extremely affordable.  I actually won my dress through them for free and had a great experience, I really love my dress (it’s modeled after Maggie Sottero Isadora and has even been mistaken for the real thing on the boards)!

Good luck!

Also check out preownedweddingdresses.com, oncewed.com, tradesy.com, and the WeddingBee classifieds! There are lots of options online for buying a preowned wedding dress from another bride.

They  have now started carrying Bridal Gowns At Belk,Dillards, and Macys. They are online only but they have tons of choices that fit that price range. And the dresses are so beautiful, I hope this helps ๐Ÿ˜‰

Try looking into any of the web pages (including the classifieds on her!) THat sell used dresses. That can really help price wise, plus you always have the chance to offer less to the buyer (of course, they can say no). Are you opposed to just finding a pretty dress? I went shopping w/ a friend for her casual wedding, and she ended up with a very pretty (and white!) dress from Nordstrom for around $200. It needed minimal alterations (she’s short). It was just in their dressier clothes section

Not everything on the “used” sites were already worn or from weddings that failed. I’m selling one online just because I was one of those silly brides tha fell in love with another dress! From what I can see, there are quite a few other people like me ๐Ÿ˜‰ For some of the sites, I think you can search for new or sample dresses specifically. Also, search sample sales in your area, you may be able to find a good deal & even haggle a bit ๐Ÿ˜‰ good luck!

We are having an intimate outdoor ceremony, also paying for the entire wedding ourselves and as we are going for more of a casual feel I got my dress from http://www.modcloth.com. However if you are not looking for a casual dress than that probably won’t work for you. David’s Bridal has many dresses in your price range including my fave, Vera Wang :] They are also always having sales. You should check out their website to see what you can find, you can shop by price as well: http://www.davidsbridal.com.
