my budget is around 8-9k for a destination wedding. It’s pretty tight BUT photography is THE most important part of my wedding so I’m willing to spend money on a quality phtographer.

We had a friendor who gave us an AMAZING deal.  She cut her price in half for us and gave us all rights to ALL of her pics.  We got about 700 pictures between engagement and the wedding for $700.

$600 for 2 hours of formals and 4 hours of ceremony/misc. divided however we want, rights to and a disk with all of the edited digital files, and a 10×16 (I think) canvas. We could have gone cheaper but I really, really wanted someone quality. This photographer is just getting started so her prices are really reasonable right now, especially for how beautiful her work is!

We DIY’d our engagement photos and actually, they turned out pretty well!

@Milan21xx:  I’m spending $2100 on photography.  This includes:

    • engagement shoot with dvd of retouched pictures
    • boudoir shoot with dvd of retouched pictures
    • all day wedding w/2 photographers, retouched images on dvd, reception slide show
    • $200 print credit
    • all images are copyright released

My wedding budget is $12k for everything (rings, honeymoon, attire, tax, tip, etc).  I agree with bbsoon2be about photography being the most important part of the wedding.  Aside from the marriage, it’s the one thing from the wedding that will be with you the longest.

My budget is $15,000 not including bands or honeymoon, so i’m not sure if I qualify as a budget bride. We paid $3,150 for our photographer.

Our budget is around 12-15K(without rings and honeymoon) and I am making photography one of my highest priorities. I plan on spending about 2500.

I’ve been looking for the best deals i can for my wedding but am splurging on a top knotch photog (~$3600 and includes engagement photos) because the pictures will be there to remind me of the big day and document the wedding long after everything is said and done.

I’m not sure if this is budget…but we’re spending $2,996 which includes:

    • 2 photographers, 1 for 8 hours and the second for 6 hours
    • DVD of high res images
    • engagement shoot
    • editing and retouching of images (awesome skin, vibrant colors, rich black and whites, and magazine quality images)
    • online proofs for 6 months (for viewing and ordering)
    • set release date approximately 2 weeks after the wedding
    • all taxes and fees

I think this is a great deal because this photographer usually starts around $6000.  We got a discount through our wedding planner.  🙂

I’m on a budget of $10,000 and am spending $2,600 on photography. It was one of the most important things to me as I am a very sentimental person. I love looking at other people’s pictures and imagine that I will frequently look at ours.

We don’t really have a budget, but we are very conscience of what we are spending on everything. We are paying $1900 for our photography. That includes the entire ceremony and reception photography/videography and three discs. One disc will have all of the prints, the next will be an edited slide show off all of the pics and the other will be the edited video with music added.

A tip I have seen given is go onto Craigslist or a local site where people advertise their services. That is how I found the photog for our engagement photos. Look on there or call the local school. There are almost always amateur photographers looking to get their name out there and usually can cut you a really good deal.

    Happy planning!
