Check out the Budget Wiki-
There are lots of real budgets- including break downs for florists.
We only wanted to spend 2500 but its going to end up closer to 3100, thats for my bouquet, 5 bm bouquets, 7 bouts, 2 corsages, 2 church arrangements and 16 centerpieces
We are looking at about 5500 for mine, 5 BM, 5 GM parents, ceremony and 12 centerpieces.
Probably about $1700... i'm not too big on flowers. Love them, but I want a different feel.
We're doing 12 centerpieces and my bouquet and it's costing us $250.
I'm going to try to keep it under $500 for my bouquet, 3 bm bouquets, and 4 bouts.
We are having our entire "decor" budget be around 12% of our total budget. This includes the flowers/boutineers for the girls/guys, flowers for the alter, flowers for the tables at the reception, and the cake table. We also have a bit of money in there for general decor such as lights that we may hang around the porch etc.
My budget is $300 and a few florists have said that it's doable. I'm getting 6 bouquets, 4 corsages, and 2 boutonnieres.
Our centerpieces are included in the hotel's package but I'll write what she normally charges, not what we're paying.
Centerpieces: $25 (5" square vase with hydrangea and roses)
Brides's Bouquet: $65 (hand tied, all roses, 20 stems)
BM bouquets: $35 (hand tied, all roses, 10 stems)
Boutonierres: $6 (rose, no filler/greenery)
Corsages: $8 (single rose pin-on with ribbon)
Mom's hand-tied posy: $10 (3 roses)
Total we're paying: $411 including tax & delivery. Flowers weren't a priority for me and I love roses. Good thing because they're cheap. I shopped around for a good price as well. I live in the Boston area which tends to be expensive but there are still good deals around!
@sboston06 - I got a quote for the same exact flowers that was twice as much as yours! Makes me wonder how florists justify charging so much.
My florist quoted me $850 for just bouqets for me and 5 bridesmaids, not even including flowers for church or centerpieces, so i decided to do parasols, they are cute and classy and only $15 each! Skipping flowers for church, nobody remembers them anyways, and my MOH is doing my centerpieces as a gift
Here's what we're getting + the costs (in North Carolina) -
Bride's bouquet - white roses, white double tulips, green hypericum berries, tetra anenomes - $155
Bridesmaid bouquets - green hydrangeas, green roses, green hypericum berries, white double tulips - $65 x 4 = $260
Boutonnieres (groom + groomsmen) - $9.75 x 5 = $48.75
Cocktail tables - milk glass vases with green hydrangeas - $15 x 5 = $75
Centerpieces - green 5" vases (provided by me) with white hydrangeas, white roses, white spider mums - $28 x 28 = $784
Candles for centerpieces - glass cylinder vases with white pillar candles & vase fillers - $18 x 14 = $252
Ceremony decor - smaller bouquets similar to brides bouquet - $50 x 2 = $100
Tax = $129.79
Total = $1804.54
Hope that helps!
My original quote was $3000, I am hoping to work with my florist to get this down a little.
I had no idea flowers were so expensive - naive little me thought I could get my bouquet, 3 bm bouquets, 2 MOB/G corsages and 8 bouts for $300. HA! I did keep it under $500 though, so I figure that's not TOO bad? Centerpieces are going to be potted plants (mums, orchids, bamboos, etc.) so those are going to run about $20 per.
With taxes, roughly $3500. That includes my bouquet, 5 bridesmaids bouquets, a flower girls basket, 2 corsages, 2 bouts for the dads, flower petals and candles for our cocktail hour, candles for the venue, an arrangement for the escort card table, and 12 centerpieces of flowering branches. Which I think is pretty great for NYC!
It's really going to depend on your area. I am doing my own centerpieces which is costing me $200. My florist is doing my bouquet, 6 BM's bouquet's, 12 bout's, 12 corsages, cake flowers and a delivery fee (she's driving two hours to ceremony site) for $750.
Bride's bouquet = $175
Toss bouquet = complimentary
6 bridesmaid bouquets = $258
6 corsages (mothers/grandmothers) = $108
Groom's boutonniere = complimentary
6 groomsmen boutonnieres = $60
4 boutonnieres (fathers/grandfathers) = $40
2 medium alter arrangements = $260
1 sign in table arrangement = $55
12 reception centerpieces (I am providing glassware, she is providing flowers and set-up) = $425
Set-up and delivery to 2 locations = $100
SUBTOTAL = $1481
TAX (8.25%) = $122.18
TOTAL = $1603.18
We're spending $3500.
8 bouquets, 12 boutineres, 4 corsages, 30 centerpieces, and 2 alter arrangements.
I guess I will expand a little bit then:
Here is what we are shooting for:
Brides Bouquet $150
6 BMs bouquest $30 each, total $180
Grooms Bout $20
10 other Bout's $10 each, total $100
4 corsages $20 each, total $100
Total for all that $550
Plus then we have the cost of centerpeices (hopefully under $50 each) the cake table, the card table and then the ceremony flowers.
We are just under $2500, but I know the florist so the rate is discounted.
Quote includes the following:
Personal flowers- 1 Bouquet, 2 ringbearers, groom, 6 GM, 2 Moms, 1Grandmom, 1 dad (my girls are not carrying bouquets)
ceremony/reception florals:
2 long tables which will have 14 arrangements each (cluser designed, small arrangments)
6 tables with single floating orchids
2 tables with 4 small cluster arrangements each
We are having a ton of candlelight to compliment the florals and set a romantic mood.
well our floral came up to a grand total of $987. That includes 10 cp's, 8 bm's bouquets, mothers corsages/guys bouts., my bouquet, petals for flower girls, and small arrangments for place card table. I feel like we got a lot for our money. There are friend's of ours that got married, and paid in the thousands for one stem flowers in water as a cp, and very basic bouquets. The trick is if you want to go with real arrangements, use seasonal blooms, and locally grown flowers.

Hey bees, question, if you don't mind me asking, how much are planning to spend on your flowers (including centerpieces, bouquets, boutenniers, ceremony)? I'm just not sure how much to spend for this portion and just needed a general idea on how much it usually is..thanks=)
