I'm not sure what your budget is, but we are working with Kathy Widdis of Widdis Photography and they have quite a few photography packages to look into!

Our photographers are out of Toledo but are sooooooo reasonably priced. I don't know what type of photography you are looking for, but they have a unique style and are some awesome guys. Their website is loveisgreaterphoto.com.
Another photographer I really wanted, but would be wayyyyyyyyyyy to expensive to go on the cruise with us is blissbymichelle.com. She isn't too expensive, I believe her packages start at $1800. Definitely check out both of those sites though.
We worked with Melany Hallgren who works out of Walled Lake for our Ann Arbor wedding. She did a great job and cost a lot less than many of the other photographers we priced. She allowed us to customize a package where we simply got a DVD with all the high-res images with no other prints/albums. Thank you guys so much for the suggestions! I think we may have found the person (or two!) that we're looking for, right price and I'm really excited about their work. I will keep you posted if we book them!

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for talented but less expensive photographers in the Ann Arbor or Detroit area, maybe someone you know who is just starting out or is looking to build their portfolio. I've started contacting people, and while I covet and drool over all the great pros in the area they are all far too expensive than what we can afford. I don't want to spend money on albums and prints, just time and talent. I'm looking for a modern, photojournalist style. Any names would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
