We just booked and payed for ours. We’re going on a Carnival Cruise to Ensanada for 4 days. We chose an oceanview room. the suites were soooo expensive. Wish we could have upgraded :/
The totaly cost, after taxes, prepaid gratuities, and the unlimited soda package was just under $1000. We really wanted to stay on budget ($1200) so when we researched cruises we were excited to learn about Carnival! We live in California, so we saved on airfare. My Mom offered to drive us to port (3 hours away), so we’ll save on the car rental. No airfare, food is included, got a deal and have $200 of onboard credit. I’m going to see if we can use that to pay for excurtions.
I’ll admit-I wanted to go over budget and spend $4000 on a Paris getaway-but it wasn’t in the budget. I’m proud of us for being responsible, but a part of me is a bit sad that we won’t get a 5-star experence or a exotic destenation
What about you guys? Budget honeymooners unite!

We went to Seattle for 4 days/3 nights and loved it! Hooray for budget honeymoons!
Our total, including flights, rental car, hotel, entertainment, and food/drinks (and we are foodies so we spent A LOT on meals), was just under 2K. It was a mini-moon for us because we were/are both very busy with work and couldn’t take more time off.

We’re going on a 7day western caribbean cruise for 1500 total. It would have been much cheaper if we weren’t stuck to school breaks but at least its something that we can afford and will truly enjoy. Or at least I’ll enjoy the beach and he’ll enjoy all the food!

we went to maui for 5 days. we booked thru costco and airfare, car rental, and hotel (with a breakfast buffet every morning, 2 for 1 admission to the luau, and $100 in resort credits) were included in our package. all of that, plus gas, food, souvenirs, activities, etc. was under $3,000

We are going to Lake Lure, NC (check in on Monday, check out Friday) for FREE! His aunt has a time share and is letting us use it. What a sweetheart! After than, we’ll probably spend another day in Asheville and stay at a B&B for a night before coming home. So we hope not to spend over $300 total.

Posting to come back to this later.
I think my FI and I will end up going to a small ocean town about 3 hours away from where we live. We can hardly afford our wedding, let alone a real honeymoon lol.
Hoping to get some idea from you ladies 🙂

Ha! We’re going on the same cruise! We have to fly out to CA though, and we sprung for the suite, but total all said and done including the flights, cruise, rental car afterwards and extra night in CA to visit my grandparents (who can’t travel for the wedding) $2200.
I’m of the opinion a vacation is what you make of it, so even though France was our top choice as well, we’re going to have a BLAST just getting away and being able to go swimming, snorkleing, having some drinks and having fun for a few days.

We went to New Orleans. We spent maybe $1000 on airfare, plus $800 on hotel. Then we spent another $800 or so dining, taking tours, shopping, sightseeing, and generally enjoying the city.
So around $2600 total.
