Try looking for a sample sale. Is this dress a new style? If not, it will likely be discontinued soon, and the sample will likely be sold at a fraction of the price

Have you considered getting a replica made?

Our wedding was about 6K (before honeymoon/rings), and my dress was $1800!

It actually cost more than our reception!

I thought it was worth it, though. Maggie dresses are SO well-made. You can’t fake high quality!

Try ebay! It’s a lot of crappy ones to dig through but I found mine for $75!!

If you go to ebay, try using the filters “used” and “north america only” to weed out most of the replica sellers, unless you want a replica (also a cool affordable option)

@mstee392:  My dress was $800 and our total is going to be about $6k. I found a really lovely small boutique instead of those chain stores and their dresses were gorgeous and very well made. Some places will sell their sample gowns for less. Otherwise, try eBay, groups on facebook, or even resale sites/shops.

We’re doing DIY invitations with a gorgeous template we found online, DIY flowers, and DIY decorations to save a lot. None of the budget includes our honeymoon though (the one thing we refused to cut back on LOL).

Our guest list at the moment has about 175 people. We’ll be doing appetizers/buffet, fruit, veggies, etc. since our reception & ceremony are in the afternoon. It’s A LOT less expensive than going with served meals.

I’m a very budget concious person that tries to get amazing deals as it is. 😉

@mstee392:  We had 44 guests for a luncheon, then 20 guests came with us on a party bus out dancing that night!

My dress budget was actually 1K of our 4K budget  (so there were a bunch of Maggie dresses that were okay), but my family decided they wanted to buy me my dream dress (they paid for the full 2K), and we used the extra 1K on real flowers, a limo between the Church/the reception/the hotel, and a couple of upgrades!
