My wedding is 50 days away and I am scared that I surpassed my “budget.”
From the beginning, I never really sat down and outlined how much I wanted to spend or what I couldn’t go over. Now, 50 days away from the wedding, I am scrambling to keep things in line. It feels like time has flown by. I had my nerves together all this time and now, I am losing it.
Anyone else in the same boat?

We had a “budget” but it was more of a target amount. We just went with the vendors we liked and could afford. We added up the final tally after everything was over and it was about 40% higher than what we had hoped we would spend. So don’t worry, you’re not alone!

Not in this boat since we set very specific budgets for everything and have followed to the penny. But I would STRONGLY recommend you sit down and figure out how much you have left to pay for and how much money you have. It’s scary, but it’s better to know now.

The thing that I did wrong was putting all the money intended for the wedding in my regular checking account. That was a mistake as I’ve spent some of that money on everyday expenses which added up over the past few months so I’m going to have to pull together about 2,500 which should be manageable. I’m just annoyed at myself for overlooking my expenses like that. Technically what we’re spending will be right on my intended budget, but I am a little worried.
