I use mint.com. It can automatically download all of your transactions from your bank and credit cards' websites. Ant it's free!
I third mint.com. It really helps if you're combining finances, sends you alerts, and it's free.
I really like Dave Ramsey's stuff.

I use Mint.com now, and it's not perfect, but it's really convenient.
For a long time I used an excel template I downloaded from microsoft's website. I've also used Quicken and MS Money, and both work fine as well.

In an effort to try to get our finances in order (or at least know where our money is going), i'd like to start tracking!
I know i could make/download a sexy excel template - but does anyone know of any software (preferably free, or if it's super-awesome i'd be willing to pay for it too), that they would recommend?
