How exciting :) But I have to add I did have to look at your location because it seriously looks like down the street from where i live lol :)
Thanks ladies!!! I will be sure to update when there is more progress!
Check it out! It actually looks like a house, a house without a roof but a house nonetheless.
Awesome! What's the protective sheeting for? I love seeing how the process goes for each house.
Fellow Columbus Bee, well suburbs. Who is your builder? We built with Wayne Homes, can't wait to see more!
@jaguar: It's basically a weather resistant barrier to help protect the wood.
@MissGreen: We are building with M/I! How was your building process with Wayne?
Good news y'all!!! We got a roof! I kind of wanted to high five those guys up there but that would have required some climbing.

Well in a week we went from framing to this:

Now that the windows are in and the roof is one there is a lot of work being done inside. Wee are going to have to get some interior pictures today! Eeek, I really hope we are in by December.
Yea!! That's awesome! I will say depending on contractors and such from this point the average time to completion is roughly 60 days so you could definetly be in around December. We broke ground August 10 and closed and moved in November 6. To answer your previous post we had an awesome experience with Wayne Homes just wish we knew some things then that we do now in regards to things we wanted, designs, layout etc.
@MissGreen: That's about the time line our contractor is giving us. I'm really hoping that he is right and all goes smoothly because I would love to be in before Christmas, talk about a wonderful gift! I'm glad you had a good experience, I have heard a lot of good things about Wayne! I worry about things like the design and layout we picked not working as well once we move in, is that similar to what you experienced/are experiencing?
@MrsDibs: I'm going to say you will almost definitely be in before Christmas. They are consistently ahead of schedule. :)
This may only be exciting to me but we have plumbing and wiring! Woot!

Looking good!
DW i got excited over plumbing and wiring too :P
Hey bees, I just need to vent a little. We had a little bit of a set back happened yesterday, apparently someone broke in and stripped the entire house of wire. Our contractor said it's not that big of a deal but I'm still upset about it. Blah.
@MrsDibs: whaaaaat? They are that desperate? That is soo not cool. :( sorry to hear!
FI and I and getting ready to start on building our house. We got accepted for the loan last week so it should start soon hopefully! I also plan on taking pictures of the progress!! Cant wait to see how yours looks when its done!!!
@ccranetobe: I know right? I keep thinking I really hope the $40 they get was worth the effort, jerks.
@sarahjc0015: That's so exciting, it is so much fun (most of the time)! Be sure to share your progress here on the bee!
***UPDATE***
Siding is going up and so is drywall. I also think they are going to put in the front walk and driveway before it gets to cold (at least by the look of the dirt in the first picture.) Our contractor says we are going to be in by the end of the year! Merry Christmas to us! Have a look:
