I don’t have children, so correct me if I’m wrong…
But people keep posting photos on facebook of their babies in “Bumbo Chairs” ON THE KITCHEN BENCH! Isn’t this kind of… dangerous?
Also, is it OK for little babies to be sitting up like that?

My neighbor LOVED the bumbo nd swore by it. She would put hers in palces I thought were dangerous though. Top of the table. Couch. Things like that. I personally don’t have kids either and would keep it of of places like that.
Now her baby can roll out of it. But it worked great before that time.

my daughter loved hers. your not supposed to use them until the baby can hold their head up on their own (usually about 3-4 months old) when they start climbing and trying to roll around in the chair thats when its not good for them any more. when i put my daughter on the counter it was all the way in the middle of the kitchen island. its great for feeding time and when you dont have room for an actual high chair. my daughter also only sat in the hers on the couch when the chair was wedged between my legs. i would also use it in the shower. i was basically a single mom and never had anyone to help with her (but i lived in a house full of her fathers relatives…) i would put her in the chair naked and take a shower with her sitting on the shower floor and then when i was done id wash her up with her soap. she loved it. now shes 2 and hates baths and loves showers lol go figure.

I’ve seen FSIL and FMIL put our nephew in it on the kitchen counter and other steady surfaces (not a couch or bed, unattended!) but only when he was young enough that he wasn’t wiggling around in it enough to actually move the thing. I think it just depends on what age they are in it and if they are able to wiggle out. It was hard to even get him in and out since he was a chunky baby, so I never felt like he could’ve gotten out on his own at that age!
