Just a quick vent and word of precaution to other brides…
Last weekend JCrew was having an AMAZING sale on select bridesmaid dresses, so each maid picked out something they liked and today they arrived! Unfortunately, the dress for my tallest bridesmaid looks like it will be WAY to short (it was just past my knees and I 5’0″, she is 5’11” (and conservative so the mini look is out)). Now the sale is over AND the only dress that comes in a tall is $250 (way out of budget for me and the tall bridesmaid). I am still going to bring the (probably too short) dress to her to try on, but it looks like we’ll be going a different route… likely the Davids Bridal route, which unfortunately the other 2 bridesmaids don’t like… sigh. This trying to make all the girls happy and comfortable is HARD!!
Long story short– I’d recommend against getting dresses online lest you have part of your party fall in love with the dress and the other part have a problem with fit (that can’t be changed with alterations).
Any suggestions on places that have a great selection of petite and tall dresses at a reasonable prices (<$125)?

Wait for another sale! They have them all the time.

@Spartanbee: I wonder if you could get another fabric dyed to match and have it added to the bottom of the dress to make it longer? I don’t know what that kind of thing would cost but could be worth a shot!

They didn’t include measurement ? How unique looking are they would it be hard to find a similar one so only the tall bridesmaid would need to purchase one?
Or depending on the style maybe she can add a couple inches to the length by adding a lace trim ?

@Spartanbee: I just went through the same thing. The girls agreed on a Dressy dress, and when they arrived they were just awful.
Spent over $300 on those 2 dresses, only to go to JJSHouse and find something I liked better. Which was another $200. I was really nervous about ordering something from China without seeing it in person. They arrived last week and they are beautiful. Of course they need alterations, but I am much happier with the less expensive dresses. And they don’t look as cheaply made as the Dressy dresses…..
I would shop around. You will find something that will work. I know it is frustrating, and hard when you have a budget. But keep you eye out for sales. Good luck!
