Wow, I didn’t know they had gone bankrupt.  Sorry about your china.

What pattern did you register for?  There are some pretty resourceful bees on here– maybe someone has a secret source or tip for where to find…

Are you sure it’s too late to register for a different pattern?  I’m getting married the same day you are, and most of my guests haven’t bought their gifts yet.  A lot of people don’t do it until the week or so before.

Oh, that’s sad! What bad luck. Are you able to register for anything different at short notice, given that the store should have known about this?

Oh my, that’s not good. I visited their crystal factory a few years ago, it was amazing. Is their any chance that another china company bought them and is making your pattern under a different name? Waterford is such a big name, it’s such a shame for it to go away.

http://www.replacements.com is a great source for discontinued china and crystal. They might not have any of your pattern yet since it was recently discontinued (they don’t have mine yet) but eventually they will. It is how I am planning on collecting my pieces over the years.

Careful with Kate Spade as well. Her patterns tend to get discontinued quickly. Mine did.

Just checked for you on Replacements.com. I don’t know if yours is gold or silver but they do have some.

I also suggest Replacements.com. I collect a vintage pattern from the 50s, and Replacements is great and really reliable, so don’t be hesitant to order from them!

*hugs* That IS a bummer … maybe the people who were going to buy you the china will give you a lovely monetary gift instead that you can use to buy a different set of china that you’ll be EQUALLY in love with!
