@2shy2Bbf: I ve used them twice so far and had no problem. Their main advantage that they are physically in US and other companies ship flowers from South America. My dedicated account manager is Knut and he is very very helpfull. I have no idea about others but he is very good in terms of customer service.
I'm the wedding planner in NY so have to deal with diy flowers a lot
I used Bunches Direct too, they were extremely helpful. I had no idea what i wanted for my wedding in terms of flowers, I'm not a big flower person. I just had my budget and my colors. The gentleman on the phone was helpful, made loads of suggestions and kind of walked me through the whole process. It was really nice for someone who's not flower-literate like me. My sister helped me make the flowers, but we really didn't have any problem with them. I got bored one day and browsed around their website, they have a helpful blog and some instructional videos too. It was a great distraction. Anyway, the flowers were fresh, lasted for the whole wedding and then some. Very pleasant experience, if I had an excuse to use them again I definitely would.
@2shy2Bbf: Have you heard anything from anyone who has used bunches direct I am thinking about ordering but the one that is Sept 2012 looks like a plant to me
I would NOT recommend Bunches Direct. I ordered 50 hydrangaes, 50 roses, hypericum berries, and a boutineer. Online the picture shows normal size hydrangaes, but when I received mine they were mini hydrangaes. I only received half of my roses and the roses I received were tiny and sick looking. The berries were the only thing that was right. The boutineer was destroyed in shipping. We had to make our own. I attempted to contact the company multiple times through email, live chat, and phone and never received any feedback until 2 weeks later. I was charged $40 in shipping when the actual shipping cost was only $20 because they used the cheapest shipping with 1-5 business days instead of next day delivery. I did not receive my flowers until 10:30pm on Friday. I was scheduled to receive them the next day, but luckly FedEx is a better business model and their supervisor got the flowers to me at 10:30 at night since we were leaving the next day. When I finally got to talk to a supervisor with Bunches Direct he said he couldn't do anything for me. I also ordered flowers from American Floral Distributors and everything was perfect from them. I had them on time from FedEx next day delivery at 2pm.
Do NOT use this company. They only want your money and don't care about delivering the product. We ordered our wedding flowers from them and they delivered a little over half of them. They passed their problems on to us and when asked if they cared about delivering on the order they said, and I quote "I do not care if you get all of your flowers" and hung up on me shortly after that. Horrible customer service and now we're stuck scrambling for flowers and covering the additional cost even after we placed the order over a month in advance of their suggestion lead time. Many other wholesale flower companies will deliver and will care about their customers. Bunchesdirect does not care, they told me so.
I agree. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! It is not worth the money you save. I am getting married in a week and a half. I just called and spoke with SANDY who is apparently the owner of the company. The very first question she asked me was "what's your problem". Not what can I do for you or how can I solve this, but what's your problem. She took a tone from the minute she got on the phone with me. I told her that I was a customer and wanted to know if I would have a rainbow of yellows in the 20+ yellow croisages and boutaneers I was ordering, she couldn't guarentee me anything, which is understandable. The reason for my call was I had left 3 messages in the las two weeks and nobody had returned them. When I told her this she told me I was WRONG and she had answered everything. She took a moment then said well there's like 40 i haven't gone through. WHAT POOR SERVICE! She hasn't answered a message left two weeks ago. I understand you're busy... but c'mon. I asked her to give me the contact information of somebody else i could talk to and she hung up. That's right, HUNG UP! I took no tone with her until the second call which she again hung up on me withing a minute. There was no swearing. I told her I would write a bad review - you know what she said!?! GO RIGHT AHEAD! So I am. Future brides be warned. This company just wants your money. Save your worries for a real florist with talent!
I won the $200 bunches direct prize on here several months ago. The free flowers were the best part of this transaction. I gave the prize to a friend of mine who recently got married, but I placed the order so as to avoid confusion. She and her florist both tried to contact the company several times, leaving multiple voice mails and sending emails. They NEVER got a response. That's when I began to worry. I don't know if it was because I was the prize-winner, but I never had a problem with customer service, althought it did always seem a bit casual in tone in the emails. To be fair, I had no problem ordering the flowers, and they were delivered correctly and on time. The complete lack of response to (what the company would have thought was) paying customers was shocking. As mentioned in other reviews, the colors were off from the description, some purples being much more pink. The other issue that I didn't even know about until just recently is that ALL OF THE FLOWERS WERE DRIED. The bride mentioned that casually just recently. I did not see or touch the flowers myself, so I can't say for sure, but her words were, "You wouldn't know it by looking at it; all the flowers looked fresh. But they felt like they were freeze-dried or something. If you touched them, they felt crispy." Again, I can't corroborate this, but this was her experience with her flowers on her wedding day. To sum: Thanks for the freebie, but NOT a company I'd recommend.

Apparently lack of response/communication and poor quality flowers is a frequent occurence.
Not acceptable!
@Kym080412: Yeah I don't know about that. Did a little research and their ratings aren't that great. See my PP.
Oh well, live and learn.
apparently this company sucks! I hope everyone here has reported them to the BBB
I would check out there reviews on theknot.com... they dont seem so bad here

LMFAO how come the only people that are pushing for this company are REALLY REALLY REALLY new bees/ have less than 20 comments?
Just wanted to say I have used them and that all in all the flowers were beautiful that were ordered. Delivery was prompt. Such a great variety and all in the white, cream colors that were wanted.
The Asiatic lilys were a disappointment as they did not open as much as we would have liked. We even recut and placed in new warm
water twice. Overall it was fun, would do it again and come to bunchesdirect because of the great selection and prices.
I also appreicated the phone call from Floral Bob before placing the order.
Here's my review!
Like any other bride I was looking for ways to save money on our wedding. My favorite flower is daisies, and I wanted a clean look for our wedding. After deciding I wanted just a simple daisy in a milk glass vase for our centerpieces, I called around for bouquets and flowers in Key West. Everyone wanted at least $1000 for this job and it just seemed like too much for a simple task. Bouquets, I understand but simply placing one gerber in a vase didn't seem like "an arrangement." SO I found Bunches direct, and did my research. Most seemed happy. I spoke to a specialist who helped me decide how many flowers and was very helpful. We had a destination wedding which was a mad rush days before the wedding after arrival. Before leaving NYC, I receive a call asking what color I wanted for my bouquet (which I had simply asked I wanted the one in the photo and there were no color options when ordering). Ok, I simple mistake..no big deal..but it was the first hiccup. Thursday before our wedding on Friday, we receieve a call that 30 of the Gerbers were not "sellable qualitiy) and we could trade them out for carnations. Umm...no thanks. So we begin the frantic search for 30 orange gerber daisies. It takes us two days to find them...and we never do. We make due with what we found in grocery stores all while we should be spending time with friends or family who have traveled hundreds of miles to come to see us wed or at the least RELAX. They did refund us but the flowers that did arrive looked really gad and most were dying. We actually ended up chopping the heads off of them and using them as aisle decor. My bouquet was the only thing I liked and looked ok. It did have some brown edges, but it was beautiful after pulling off the dying. The corsages for our moms were nearly dead by the wedding even after refrigerating and trying to save. Brides..it wasn't worth it. Spend the money and enjoy your day. We ended up buying all of the flowers wherever we could find to salvage the day. Run away...if it's too good to be true...it always is.
I had ordered my Wedding flowers from Bunches Direct- the flowers were delivered on time and we lost only 5 flowers from an order of more than 350! Very very surprised since they had to come from florida, to california. I order bulk roses and gerberas so I could create my centerpieces which were so beautiful and I also had my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquet made. They all turned out great and I got alot of compliments. I had a consultation with Bob, he was really helpful and gave me many great ideas. I know shopping for flowers online is a bit scary and part of the problem is more people are inclined to post a negative experience over a positive. In the end you have to judge for yourself and if you are trying to save money this is a good option.
I am sorry that you have had a negative experience with us. We have listened to your feedback and have clarified Hydranega sizes on our website as the picture alone does not tell you how large the product is. We hope you still had a wonderful day.
I am sorry you were not happy with our services, please know we are always listening and are always trying to improve our services. I do want to mention that we had tried to make right in this case. For your bouquet, you have stated that you had to pull off dying petals but in reality they are the outer guard petals. We keep them on to protect the flowers in transit...our instructions mention you may have to pull off a few petals for this reason. Regardless, we wish you a happy and long marriage!
I have to apologize if this actually has happened as this is not how we want our customers to be treated. They are important to us. Please now we are investigating this matter, to see what actually happened.
RUN - don't walk - AWAY FROM BUNCHESFIRECT! Awful, company, dishonest to customers, the absolute WORST customer service you will ever encounter - overall a complete rip off that I can't believe is still in bsuiness. I bought a weddingchannel.com deal for bunchesdirect - $50 for $100 worth of flowers. Sweet, right? My mom bought one too. Well, first the coupon code didn't even work and you had to call and make them do this manually over the phone. then they don't tell you anywhere on the site, or on the fine print in the weddingchannel deal - not until you are ready to check out and send your money - is that there is a $40 delivery fee per coupon, no exceptions. So I already paid $50, now $40 so I'm really only saving $10? I'm not dumb - I would never have bought this if that was stated in the first place. So I call and get total attitude from the beginning with this lady who refused to tell me her name - she was so rude and awful and unhelpful. I tried to see if I could at least just pay one shipping fee since they were going to the same place and she was so rude and had a tone like "hey, you're the sucker who fell for it, deal with it." Absolute nightmare. Stay away from bunchesdirect and stay away from weddingchannel.com!
It seems so strange to me that the people who are commenting are all Newbees. Not that I don't trust most Newbees, but this many? Does anyone else find this suspicious?

Has anyone purchased flowers online from Bunches Direct? How was the service? What about the quality of the product? Can you provide a better website/option for diy flowers?
Thanks in advance
