I went to the ortho on Tuesday because my foot has been hurting for the past couple of months to the point where I can’t workout and even walking around during the day hurts it. I was really taken off guard when Dr. told me I have what’s called a bunionette or Tailor’s bunion on the outside of my foot, and I need surgery to correct it. Painful surgery where they have to cut the bone and set it back into place. And I’ll be non-weight bearing for 4 weeks.
So surgery is scheduled for Halloween (fun this year).
Has anyone had this surgery? It has me pretty nervous – it’s all happening fast but Dr. does not advise me to wait because it will just get worse and it’s right between “moderate” and “severe” now. I’ve only had 1 other surgery in my life when I was a teen and I just am worrying about the whole process.
Any advice or experiences from Bees who have had this is appreciated!
