I already had a post about this problem but I didn’t get any feedback so I’m looking for more, maybe even words to calm me down! BM dress color is apple red which I have attached a picture of. GM shirt color is chocolate brown with dark blue jeans. FI & I are wearing ivory, him in jeans also. Mom & MI both picked the same sapphire blue dress. It looks darker in person I thought but the light really made this dress bright and now I’m thinking all the pictures will look like this. I’ve already gotten comments “american flag”. Is this really going to be a huge problem? I’d hate to tell both Mother’s they have to buy a new dress. They are both happy and I’m happy with what it looks like on them. My Mom is big chested and we were having enough trouble trying to find a dress to cover her well. I was going for the rustic look with the dark reds, chocolate browns, and ivory and I’m terrified the blue is ruining it all. I wasn’t thinking the mothers would be in the pictures with the BM anyway but now I’m thinking what if I got a picture with my MOH, me, and Mom. Red, white and blue! help!

It’s a little overkill for me personally, but hey if everyones happy, especially you and the moms, WHO CARES?! Apple red isn’t ‘rustic’ to me, so if that’s the look you were going for I’d consider changing that color to a true dark red instead of the darker navy. And yes, if you get all three colors in the same picture it’s going to look very patriotic – but again, who cares? You said you’re happy with the way everything came together, so I say go with it 🙂

I don’t really think the MOB dresses really affect your color scheme.

The BM dress in the picture is not the exact dress and I guess it does not show the color well either. Its called Apple Red from Davids Bridal and it is a dark red. I think I actually might ask my Mom to purchase another dress. 🙁

I don’t think it will look patriotic at all. I was thinking about doing navy, a dark red, and ivory color for my wedding, and honestly i never even thought about it being patriotic at all. I think it will look fine!

Thanks soooo much Miss Kris!!!!! The Mother’s are keeping their navy blue dresses. I’m not worried anymore!!
