Of course!! I had burlap, lace and BBQ at my wedding. All those aspects compliment eachother. Here's a link to it: http://www.samhurdphotography.com/2011/wedding/virginia-wedding-phhotographer-kate-and-greg-leesburg
looks beautiful! Bbq would really complement this theme and the farmhouse location!
@KateByDesign: Gah! Your wedding was freaking beautiful!! I love everything about it! And I want a s'more station sooo bad! And pumpkin pie! :) Thank you so much for sharing! I makes me even more excited for my own burlap & lace wedding!
@Lucille_628: I love this theme! I'm a wedding planner and have 2 brides that I'm doing this for next summer. I love it so much I'm doing the same thing for my baby shower :)
@Lucille_628: thank you! i'm sure yours will be just as beautiful!
@mwitter80: I think the theme is just so beautiful! And it's something that I can easily DIY which makes it even more enticing! :)
@Juliepants: Thank you! It looked great in my head but I wanted to make sure everyone else could see what I did!
I love this! I actually just talked to SO about doing something very similar. Right now, he doesn't seem too keen on the idea - even though we both think BBQ is some of the most tasty food in the world. I'm hoping I can change his mind because your menu sounds delicious!
@flying_hearts: We <3 BBQ! I really wanted something that everyone would enjoy and I think we accomplished that with BBQ :) I told FI that I want a fun and comfortable wedding, it will match us as a couple!
I think it will be A--MAZ---ING!!!! What a great idea...it all goes so well together..from the burlap and lace to the BBQ to the farmhouse setting....just wonderful
We are doing something very similar so obviously I love it! We're having fried chicken instead of bbq but I think comfort foods + southern type location + burlap + lace = beautiful!
Mine is also very similar...having a hog roast, and doing lots of burlap accents! I think the burlap carries along with the rustic theme that BBQ and a farmhouse portray, but that the lace helps make it not so country,
I think your theme and menu go together perfectly! And BBQ is one of those great foods that everyone loves. :)

I have already decided that I want to serve BBQ at the wedding, the menu will be; Pulled Pork, Beef Brisket, Macaroni, Hush Puppies, Deviled Eggs, Green Beans, etc. All comfort foods :) But the question I have for you is if I serve BBQ can I have a Burlap and Lace theme?
SN: I'm getting married at a historic farmhouse complex as some of you already know and the majority of it will be outside.
