I would leave off the burlap chair bows, especially if you mean to tie it around the back of the chair. It's very itchy and sheds like crazy.
I would just do a burlap flower on the back of the chair.
Can you really have too much burlap? I think not. lol
I don't personally think what you've described sounds like too much since its balanced with the white. But, it might be scratchy so try it out first.
Just an FYI new burlap stinks something awful so be sure to give yourself enough time to air it out first.
I am also doing burlap and mixing in ribbon:

I also love this vase with a simple twine wrap:

As long as you incorperate them right, it should look great! I would add a little more pink but that's just me :) I know how you feel about burlap though, when I first started planning I HATED the though of using the stuff! But now, I'm using it as much as I can LOL
My tables will have white linines, and the centerpieces are a round of wood, a little burlap laid ontop with three mason jars w/ candles inside. around the jars I'll have burlap flowers...here's how to make them http://mayamade.blogspot.com/2009/11/simple-gifts-monogrammed-napkin-ring-in.html ...too cute!! Oh and my colours are Chocolate Brown with a little Blue and Fuschia
I looovve burlap too. I really love this aisle runner. I am thinking about doing it in white burlap

I made burlap leaves for the back of my chair and added them with my sash! Also wrapping my wine bottles with burlap and lace, using them for covers of my and using them with mini chalkboads for my labels on candy bar!
we are thinking somthing like this:

but perhaps with burlap and/or burlap detailing.
but we are definitely keen on this:

We did burlap table runners on white table cloths and I think they looked great! It's such an easy, inexepensive fabric to work with - and totally re-purposable!
Our table runners being made:
At the wedding:
Re-purposed after the wedding:

We also made some burlap flags to hang behind our cake table and pillow cases for the ceremony's quilts/blankets on the green seating.
When is your wedding and how many do you need? I am getting married 7/14 and am making my own burlap table runners (12x72) and will be selling them after! I will have a total of 17 or 18.
@mrs_g.mck: I get married on 6/13.. I would love those Burlap table runners, all of them! How much would you be charging?
Im getting married in October. Maybe I Could buy/use them after you?
I'm getting married in November - any chance they would still be usable after the last person that uses them? Thanks!
@lmsumins: I have some burlap for sale that could be made into runners

Im totally loving burlap now for some reason!! tell me if you think this is too much?
White table cloths, white chair covers, burlap table runners, burlap chair bows with flower or something on it to make it prettier) and then of course my mason jar, milk jar with white flowers centerpieces....
my wedding colors are white with a DASH of pink...but i like all white for the most part. Im tieing pink ribbon around one of the mason jars but thats all the pink on the tables.
im just afraid it will be too much white or too much burlap...maybe not IDK!
