So I just purchased the pattern from Etsy to make these Burlap pew cones: http://www.etsy.com/listing/66495675/burlap-pew-cone-pdf-sewing-pattern?ref=af_you_favitem.
For those of you who don’t sew, I know she also sells the cones pre-made, but I seriously encourage anyone and everyone to at least TRY to make these on their own. Nothing compares to the satisfaction of putting your own hard work (hopefully minus the blood, sweat, and tears…but you never know with brides) into your decorations. GO DIY!!
Anywaays…I’m SOOO excited to start sewing them. I plan to hang them from the end chairs down the aisle. I have about 130 guests, so I’m guessing I’ll need somewhere around 30 or so cones? I better get busy!
Anyone else made their own decorations for the aisle? I’m planning to put simple white dahlias with baby’s breath in the cones. We’re going for an elegant-rustic-eclectic theme, if that makes any sense! Lots of burlap, lace, silver, and sophisticated ivory. I can’t wait for our wedding and I’m just SOO excited to start on the details!
