I would assume any fabric store would have burlap - Joann's, Hobby Lobby, etc. That's probably where I'd start. If it were me, and I had to make that many table runners by hand, I'd use the no-sew stuff that you iron onto the seam instead of sewing it by hand. Or use a machine.
We are doing burlap table runners too, and have 23 6ft tables to outfit. Believe it or not, we are getting our fabric from Joann's. The fabric is $2.99/yard, and then Joann's always has that 40% off coupon. It comes out to be pretty cheap.
I have leftover burlap tablerunners from my wedding I'd be willing to sell. The edges aren't sewn, like the picture you've posted, but I like the raw edges. The width of the runners is about 1.5 feet (half a meter). The burlap came originally in 1 meter width, but I didn't cut all of it. PM me if you're interested - the burlap is at my MIL's in Oregon.
A girlfriend of mine is doing the same thing. WE found it from denverfabrics.com for $2.50/yard, but its an apolstry bolt, so you can get two runners width wise. it makes it half as expensive as walmart!
I'm doing a similar thing, and found it for $1.80/yard online, here. That's what I'm ordering.
I feel like this is a dumb question, but is all burlap the same? Do they come in different weights / thickness or differences is how tight the weave is? We're considering going for a DIY burlap runner as well, but I'm wondering if I should be aware of different types of burlap I might end up with if ordering online.
Hi! I'm new to the wedding bee thing, and am trying to get burlap for table runners also. Did you get them? Do you still have them? Willing to sell?
Thanks, Nicole
@bearcub: I am definately interested in you runners if you still have them. What size tables did you out them on? If they are still available could you email me at kayla.kast@yahoo.com?
I have about 10 burlap runners available to sell. They were DIY for my wedding, see pics on my Bio. I did double sided, no sew adhesive, they have frayed edges for a rustic vibe. I'll have to check on the exact measurements.... I will post a classifieds later today...
@BDubya: Hi I am interested in the burlap runners. can you please tell me how much and what the shipping cost would be to 96761? Thanks, Summer
I am also interested in burlap table runners. I need 12 of them. Is anyone selling? Please send pictures and cost to keperkin4@yahoo.com. Thanks!!

They were inspired by the same picture you posted above, which I saw on stylemepretty:

I ended up contacting the bride in this post, and she provided the store where she bought the material and the dimensions.
It ended up costing about $300 to make in materials alone, and I'm offering mine for $200 + shipping. If you need more than 16, I can give you all the information you need to have more made.
I have a super small wedding budget. I too would love to have burlap runners. I found some bulk material at Uline. http://www.uline.com/BL_227/Burlap-Bags
Has anyone ordered from here??
IT IS NOT THE SAME THERE IS A CHEAP CRAFT BURLAP THE CHEAPER THE BURLAP IS THE MORE HOLES THE HIGHER QUAILITY A TIGHTER WEAVE

@bearcub: Do you still have your burlap table runners? If so are they for long tables, how much & how many do you have?
THanks
The rental company we're going through has them for 3 dollars a piece...it would be slightly cheaper to make them, but I really don't have the time...
I also am looking for burlap table runners, I love the ones with lace on the ends. How much have people been paying for their burlap? What type is best for the runners?
@Mander: I will be purchasing the burlap from Uline in the next week or so.
I realize that the burlap will not be the highest quality. I am working with a $4,000 total wedding budget, so the Uline price is right for me.
Where are others buying their burlap?
Thanks

this style is ok? and you can order any size

Hi Bees.
I am making 12 inch burlap runners for my 20+ 72 inch talbes. I am planning on sewing lace to the edges and I think they will be lovely!
I ordreed an 100 yd roll of burlap for $60 on this site. Make sure you call and request one without the red striped. One side isn't finished, but it can easily be fixed by sewing one of the edges.

I am dying to have burlap table runners... does anyone know where I can get burlap in bulk for cheap? Or maybe a place to buy the runners already made for a decent price?
I have 19 round tables that are 60 inches.
Please share any tips on how to make them, if you did them and how they turned out, or any tips you have for working with burlap. Thanks!
