I actually burst a few blood vessels on my face before and all the purpleness was gone within 3 days and faded considerably after the first two. It happened on a Friday, and no one even noticed on Monday unless I pointed it out. I'm sure your eye will be fine!
Yikes! I know someone that had that happen and they said blood was everywhere!
I think your eye will be fine in plenty of time. I had pinkeye the day of my reception, LOL
That happens to my Dad from time to time.
Seems that I remember the last time it was nearly gone in 3 days and completely normal looking after 5 or so.
When you sneeze, make sure that your eyes are closed. They generally instinctively close, but if you force them to open they can cause additional pressure on the eye. Go and see an othomogist right away!
I had a huge blood vessel burst in my eye after Lasik. The doctor said that warm compresses would help dissapaite the blood. It took about 2 weeks to completely clear, but it was huge and took up about 80% of my eye. Please make sure you are ok though!
I am pleased to report that my mother also suggested the warm compress and my eye is much better today! Thank you all for your suggestions and encouragements

I have done that before ... I do find that with warm compresses it looks significantly less creepy within a week
i had a dream the other night that this happened to me. i was awfully calm about it though. I guess I wasn't getting married in my dream :D

I am so thankful this didn't happen last monday when I was having my bridal portraits taken!!
Still a little scary to wake up and realized that my eye was bloody, though I know that this is fairly common and isn't particularly painful. However, the 10-14day recovery has me a little frightened, since this is only the beginning of a cold and the wedding is 18 days from today!
any reassurance would be greatly appreciated!
