Well, i'm not quite an F, but I find strapless bras to be only so-so on support. I'm a DD and I have to buy the ones that pretty much have double support and extra stretchy bands built in or i look like a teenager pulling it up all night. Tacky! Spanx is totally my friend. Have you tried figleaves for a bustier? They cater to women of all sizes. I find swimsuits on there.
Also, i'm guessing since you're a 36 you aren't "plus sized" which makes it hard to find things in an F. There ARE sites out there that do lingerie for the boobylicious ladies. They're pretty pricey though like $120 up. I remember looking at bustiers for my dress and going 'Holy hell no way!'
K i knew i've seen these before.....

Ample Busom is great! They recommend sports bras which i LOOOVE. i hate jumping jacks at the gym =(
They even have a team that will personalize advise you =]
You girls are great, if you stayed near my town you girls would definitely be honorary Bridesmaids, love ya'
haha. hey if that works out and it's real comfy and stuff, let me know! I'm constantly fighting with my underthingymajigs.
I so feel your pain. I'm a 32G, and not a very perky one at that. I do have a longline bra by Goddess that is supportive but just really uncomfortable, plus it makes little fat rolls down at my hips where it ends. Gross. I vote for strapless bra with Spanx, cause it's comfy and looks great!
I swear by Fantasie's smoothing strapless bra - you can find it on Figleaves or BareNecessities. It is super supportive and comfy!
I'm not as "blessed" as you (34D) but I went with a longline bra just to make sure I had enough support - I agree with ejs4y8 about finding strapless bras not that supportive. Maybe you're lucky & don't have that problem, but it was a concern for me.
This probably won't work for you since it only goes up to DD, but in case someone else is looking, I got this strapless bra. It comes in 36C to 44DD. I've got 44DD's, and this is amazingly supportive even without the straps attached--just as much so as my regular bra! I'm really happy with it, especially since the first bra (I ordered from a different company) somehow managed to make my puppies look droopier than they naturally are!

I've been searching and trying like crazy and I have yet to find a good bustier for someone with my shape. I'm trying to find a bustier in the size of...wait for it...wait it... 36F, yes I said F, not D, and let's skip E all the way to F! LOL I'm having the hardest time, so I was thinking of wearing a really good strapless bra with spanx that come up to the ribcage. What do you guy think, any suggestions??? I really need some help.
