It’s a short train, but you have to bustle that. People will be stepping on it all night. What did the seamstress recommend?  I just went with what they suggested (5 point overbustle but my train was longer than yours). People fuss a lot over bustles, which I don’t really get.

EASY!  Google “Tufted Bustle.” Pretty much created for gowns with pickups! 🙂

There’s an example on this site..





They basically create additional pickups with the train.. The dress in the example already had little jewel things on each pickup, so they made perfect hook points for the train-pickups. But I’m sure they could do itty bitty almost invisible hooks with, or hide the hook points under the existing pickups in your dress!


OR… an Austrian bustle… similar results, but they run string through the dress so it’s almost like a drawstring… the site I posted above has a good example, too! 😀
