A thick needle and thread in case you gotta tie that sucker up!

My bustle broke after it was bustled for about 2 minutes.  I sat down to sign the marriage license and SNAP!  It was done for!  I will say that it’s smart to have safety pins around, but if your dress is like mine, it might be too heavy for them.  I pinned my dress back up, but it only lasted for a few minutes at a time.  After the First Dance, I spent most of the night with my train slung over my arm.  I was a little annoyed, but what could I do?  I’d say, if it does break, just go with the flow!  Don’t let it ruin your night.

My sister repaired the hem of my reception dress with a needle and thread. It took about 5 minutes (which felt like an eternity) but it fixed it.

I had a small bustle emergency… we lost a lower tie in a 14-point bustle. Safety pins, a small sewing kit, and my Maid/Matron of Honor saved the day!
