I love the look of the middle one.  Also, to keep true to the fit and flare style, you can do what I did on mine and do an under-bustle!

@beeleaf:  i think the middle one looks the best.  i usually prefer the french bustle but in this case, definitely the traditional.  i think the french bustle is positioned too high on the dress for some reason.  i had a french bustle and it was much lower.

I personally like the third photo best, but on my mermaid, I am getting a one point centered overbustle similar to the second photo.

Eta: I think keeping it more simple like photo number two does still show off the beautiful lace

I love option 2!  It looks a lot more seamless.  I feel like with certain fabrics, french, or too many hooks just looks messy, in my opinion at least.

The under bustle is basically a “tucked under” bustle so it goes underneathe intself to create a more seemless bottom.  Mind you the pic I have below is from my 3rd fitting, and here is a pic of my wedding day showing how long my train was that got tucked under!

@beeleaf:  No prob!  I would definitely consider #2 then, i’m very ANTI-bustle! I hate bustles because they lose the whole point of the reason you picked the dress!

But obviously, they’re needed…so #2 definitely highlights your bottom 🙂 and the figure of the dress!

@beeleaf:  i’m doing the french, because i wanted something more secure than the traditional one with fewer hooks. my girls are smart and i know they can figure out a combo of hooks and ribbons, i just don’t want that baby to fall out while i’m shaking my rump! ^.^

I like the middle bustle best, and the picture on the right the 2nd best. French bustles are never my favorite though, so I might be biased:)

Actually, my center overbustle is not going to be placed as high as in ur middle photo. It will be lower to the knee like ur third photo but just one hook or button or whatever.

I like the traditional bustle the best.  I feel like the other ones almost take away from the dress?
