@TKG83:  Oh i’m glad I could help! 🙂  Your dress is beautiful, and I agree with not doing a bustle!

@TKG83:  I bought mine with a bustle. It’s a 12 point and still looks lovely. I’m not sure if I will use it or not but it looks great either way 🙂

TKG83:  Sorry I don’t have any pictures of it up close but mine had to be bustled separately to avoid damaging the lace. We bustled the bottom lining and then the lace layer stemming from one of the flower appliques. It DID give the dress a lot of dimension though.

I just went for my fitting yesterday and was worried about the bustle because I love the train as well! The lady bustled the underlayer first, but not at my butt, way below. Then she is putting tiny buttons to bustle the lace so you still see all the lace on the train. It doesnt even look bustled the way she did it. I am planning on leaving the train down most of the time, but know I will need the bustle when I am in party mode and dancing like crazy 🙂

vikijohnson:  I loooove the bustle on your dress! do you know how the seamstress did it? I need a bustle because there will be a lot of dancing involved and I haven’t liked anything until I saw yours! it looks awesome, you can’t even see there is a bustle. If you can tell me how she did it, it would be great so I can guide my seamstress when I go in for my fitting. Thank you!

Hi im not sure what exactly she did, there was 7 numbers with holes in the lace and hooks underneath the dress where tiny thread loops were supposed to attach to the numbers underneath. Problem was my sister/ mom/ and friends stood outside for 30 minutes to an hour trying to figure it out. It was complicated and difficult to find any of the threads. 🙁 we ended up just pinning up the middle bc I was missing my whole reception and if honestly looked fine. I would go with something easy or have someone practice a lot.
