I have a custom gown still in the works. It’s mikado silk. The back will be very similar to this, just perhaps more beads than embroidery. It will have a 1 yard tail.
Just looking for input on what to do with this gown (bustle or don’t bustle) during the cocktail hour and the traditional dances.
I have a second dress for the reception, but I don’t change into it until later in the evening after the speeches and traditional dances.

I saw an episode of 4 weddings where the bride didn’t bustle and she had to keep kicking the train out from under her feet. Those catty b****s called it the horse kick but it did look pretty awkward and silly. I’d bustle it if you want to dance in it.
