I need help too! I would love to see the Adorae by Sottero and Midgley bustled
everybody wants it and nobody's got it :)
I'd love to see the different kinds as well. Google searches give a very unclear picture of each type since they're all mixed together.
This is the kind I'm going to get:

I don't know what it's called. But it'll go on my vintage lace gown :)
Would love to see this, too! Any Maggie Sabelle brides out there? How did you bustle your dress?
I would love to see these too, I don't even know what the difference is between all the different types! /dumbie.
I'm having a French bustle put in...second fitting is today, I'll post a pic if it's done the way I wanted.
@peaches1038: That looks like a 1 point bustle.
I found this website shows differ bustles

@Sassygrn: I was just going to post that website! I'm not sure if its a one point point bustle since its not an under bustle. But it doesn't really matter!
@Sassygrn: Thanks for posting that article! Very informative.
I believe mine will be a french bustle.
My dress is also lace and has a bustle very similar to Peaches1038. I think American bustle is the over-bustle like mine when it's pinned up below the butt, French bustle is when it's tucked underneath and secured with multiple "points".

There is this site also. I have both sites book marked, right now I have noooo idea how am going to do mine

@meliss: Wow. That's a PERFECT bustle foir a lace dress. Looks like an English bustle. Do you know how many points it was? Looks like 3?
@meliss: I love your bustle!!!
This is the bustle I want but I have no idea what it's called...anyone know?
I had a "Nacho" bustle. lol. Its where you pull the train completely up under the dress and button the hem inside, to create the look of a plain bubble-hem in the back.

@ddubzz - What an amazing bustle! I didn't know they could be so beautiful!
@zippylef: Can you post a picture of the back of your dress BEFORE the bustle? That's an amazing "clean line" - I would have guessed there was no train!
@ddubzz: Never in a million years would I have thought I'd LOVE a bustle - that's breathtaking!
I'm bumping this because we need way more pictures and examples. Come on, Bees, show off your bustles, please!
Okay ladies, I'll share. I'm a Maggie Sottero Cassandra bride, and I know I couldn't even begin to imagine how it would be bustled. So here are some pix from my fitting showing the full train and then the bustle.
The split skirt you can see in the mirror presented a small complication as did the multi-tiered train with embellishments which is better viewed on Maggie Sottero's website. In any case, this bustle has somewhere between 13 and 17 points (we never did get an official count). The first 1 or 2 are an over-bustle, and the rest are done up from the left to the right underneath. There are an additional 2 specifically for the material in the split skirt to pull it up to the right length.
Short version: Yeah it's kind of complicated, but its a bunch of hook and eye mechanisms and they're color coded. And it looks gorgeous!
