Darling Husband and I are officially not preventing pregnancy, but I am trying to do more BD around when I believe I’m ovulating.
However, that time always seems to coincide withour businest time of the week/month! During the week, Darling Husband and I are constantly on the move, working late, business trips, team sports, plans with family and friends..etc. We’re lucky if we’re both home together 1 night/week, which doesn’t make our odds super great.
Couple that with the fact that Darling Husband gets up very early for work, meaning that BDing anytime past 9 pm on a weeknight is probably out….
TTC Bees, do you “schedule” BD around your ovulation? I can’t imagine saying “DH, you can’t grab beers with your friends because we have to DTD tonight….” But is thsi what it’s going to come down to?

@ExcitedScaredBee: We totally scheduled it with our first daughter. It got the job done, but it was terrible.
We used a CBEFM, and every morning, Darling Husband would ask me if we had the egg. When I said yes, then we would work it into our day. As in, “I’ll bring home dinner, we’ll have sex, and then we’ll watch a movie.” If it was a busy day, then he’d come home for lunch.
It was completely unromantic, and sometimes, it was hard to make it through. I was thrilled when we got our BFP, first because of the pregnancy, and second, so the scheduled sex could STOP.

I guess I’m lucky because Darling Husband and I get it on every night pretty much (unless one of us is really sick or something). Now that we’re TTC and I am charting I am more aware of certain days that I remind him we need to be available for. For example, his parents are planning to come for a visit and suggested a weekend in November. I immediately said “uh uh no way” cause it’s an O weekend. LOL.

We tend to do it more in the morning anyway, and we almost always wake up together, so we just hit the snooze button a little less. That works for late nights, etc, but it doesn’t help with business trips, which somehow seem to crop up right around that time more than I would like. We completely missed our first month TTC because of it.
I tried not to be to regimented about it but he caught on pretty quickly.
