In September I ordered these Nina "Elke" shoes from zappos.com.

I do love them, but am concerned about a couple of things:

    • they're kind of tight on my toes
    • the bottom of my dress is tulle, and I'm worried that the rhinestone thingy will catch on the tulle. I'm imagineing me tripping over my own shoes and ripping the front of my grandmother's wedding dress!

So I ordered the Nina Electra in blue (I got one of the last 3 pairs from zappos!), and I should get them this week...

As a girl who loves shoes, how will I ever choose!?

I honestly like the second pair even better!  They seem to match the style of your dress better than the first pair. If they are even more comfy, then go for number 2!

Rachel I'm inclined to agree with you- they're a little more girly! (Which is hilarious, since I am decidedly un-girly)

hmmm I had this dilemma.  Make sure there are no rough edges or prongs on the rhinestone thing on the elke shoes - I almost ordered those before I found mine.  If there isnt a prong or something on there to really grab the tulle, it should be ok.  you can always paint over the really rough parts with clear nail polish.  GREAT blue shoes are tough to come by, I feel your pain love!

I like the Elke pair better - but that is my opinion.  They are fantastic :)

If you're worried about the shoes AND they don't fight right, go with the 2nd pair. Plus, they are SUPER cute.

i really like the second pair better too, but maybe thats just my style! since they're both gorgeous, i'd go with the pair that you aren't going to have to think/worry about while wearing your dress.

Oh Bees... this is going to be a tough call. I'm going to take them both to FI's mom's over Christmas for fittings (she's doing the alterations for me) and see what works best.

The Electra's are a 8.5 (I usually wear an 8), since I'd read the online reviews saying they run kind of small. I love how they fit on my toes, but they're kind of loose in the heel. The strap keeps them on, but aren't there little heel cups for this kind of thing?

What do you think (and like the pattern on my skin from the argyle knee-highs I have on?).

I still can't believe they got here in 20 hours!!!

I like the first pair better, but I think both would look good with your dress.

That is a tough call.  I'm a sucker for a peep toe! lol.  I would try them both on with the dress and then decide.  Last night, I also ordered two pair of blue shoes to choose between!  I can't wait to get them, maybe Zappo's delivers quickly everywhere?

I like the second pair better. They look like they fit you better (I can see how cramped your toes are in the first pair in that pic) and I think they go better with the dress.

Yay for a fellow blue shoes bride! I'm having a ROUGH time finding the perfect shoe for me.

i like the second pair better! I would pick the most comfortable shoe though. You have to wear them all night, and it would really suck to have your feet hurt!

I love the first pair, but having ruined the hem of a dress or two with the same type, I'm going to have to say I think you should go with the 2nd pair.

Your dress is amazing and since both pairs of shoes are awesome, I think I'd feel like keeping the dress safe would be important.  I also think the 2nd pair has a more vintage look.

    :)

I am loving the second pair!  Looking at the pictures of them on you, it also looks as though the second pair fits better, especially at your toes.

Thanks all! I love the dress too. It cracks me up to watch "Say Yes to the Dress". because I'm pretty sure the introduction features a current dress that looks exactly like my grandmothers! But the Klienfeld's dress is probably $5,000+, and mine was $150 in 1953!

I'm leaning towards the second pair, but want to see what my mom and sister say over Christmas!
