I spent countless hours getting to know my fiance while sneaking out of work to the local starbucks, we travel all over an always snuggle up at coffee shops before heading out to meeting (mainly starbucks) and yes, he proposed in Starbucks. So for me I was smiling ear to ear when he told me that he wrote the bucks and they gave us a hundred of those mini sample cups and chocolate covered espresso beans for our wedding favors.
..But everyone I mention it to curls their nose up at idea of having a "company" logo on the cup. I think they are soo cute with the mini logo and drink selection on the back. Is it really that tacky?
Our plan is to wrap the beans with a mini biscotti popping out and a label that says "Richie and Colleen + date "love is brewing"

Ignore everyone - Starbucks has meaning for you as a couple - it's not about the brand, it's about how your love came to be.

1. it has special meaning for both you and your fiance (it is YOUR day)
2. I think it so adorable, and so will many of your guests when they SEE it. Remember many people don't have good imaginations. make sure it is set up propery at a table with pictures of you and your FH at various Starbucks throughout the years.

I admit, I'm not one to go to Starbucks, but in your case, it's really cute.
Plus, Starbucks treats their employees well, unlike lots of other places.
Aw, it's not about peoples' snobbery in this case- it's about you as a couple! I think your story is incredibly sweet- you could maybe type it up and put it in a pretty frame next to the favors, then no one will turn their noses up.
I absolutely LOVE this idea for your favor. I think it's so sweet how it ties in with the story of you and your FI. People who know you will understand what it means so ignore all those "nose curls" :D
I agree with everyone--what an AWESOME idea for a favor! I am jealous we don't have a tie to Starbucks because that is seriously such a cute idea. Go with it, especially since it has meaning for you and your groom. Show us some pics when its closer and they're assembled! 
Go for it! It's not "just" a company logo, it's a major story of how you guys got together! I think your close friends and family will really think it's touching!

Hey, I'd take any kind of free favor and run with it. Product placement is everywhere so I don't see it as a negative. Plus, for you and him, it also has a piece in your story. Use them!
I think its sweet... I would def add the biscotti. And then maybe at the favor table you could have a little sign that tells the story of your relationship and engagement. It will help guests get to know you better as a couple!

i think that's a great favor idea. starbucks has a special meaning for you guys, so i wouldn't worry about being tacky.
Wow. That is SUPER cute. I can see that some guest would find it odd, but, it sounds like a great idea that fits you two. As soon as your guests realize that your story, no one will think its odd anymore. They'd wish that they had as a cute a story as you two have. =)
So do it. I almost want to say to just make your wedding a coffee themed wedding - with table names from coffeebean names, maybe a candy bar with the candy in burlap bags instead of jars - there's so much potential!

I agree that it is really special to your story! And a great idea. Maybe you should make a round tag that mimics the Starbucks logo with your names so that the one on the cup isn't so obvious?

i had the same idea that sallyinvitedink mentioned; why not create a label that looks like the starbucks one that's personalized for you? that would be really awesome...i bet you could have it commissioned on etsy thru alchemy =D

Dont listen to what other people say...despite having a "company" logo, you have a really creative wedding favor that is completely you and your love story.
Your label idea sounds adorable as well!

Not only do I lov ethe idea, I lov ethe fact that your guy made it happen by contacting the company. There is so much compromising in the wedding planning. Keep this for yourself!

as you have explained why starbucks is so important to you i think its really cute and heartfelt
but as a non coffee drinker i would be wondering what is the starbucks story if i received this as a favor so i suggest letting people know why it means so much to you so they can enjoy the significance also. a sign or photos or a tag attached to each favor are my suggestions. i think its also really sweet that it means enough to your FI to arrange to get these for you so i would hate you to dismiss it because of what other people thought

If you and your FI didn't have the Starbucks connection, I would find it strange. But, since so much of your relationship involved Starbucks, you should definitely do it! Is there any way that you can include why you are giving out Starbucks favors?

Okay, sooooo....I'm a Dunkin' girl....but my (last) company was ALL about the 'Bucks.
For me, it just meant fill it 3 quarters, and I'll add the milk and sugar.
It's SUPER special to you & your FI, so I whole-heartedly say DO IT! How super cute! And how awesome that they are giving you guys the samples...and the choc covered beans....sigh....I do love those!

GO For it! I think its an adorable idea. Your friends are just being a little snobby, I think if you put a little flyer up about the significance of the 'bucks, your friends will get on board. And if they don't just let them perculate in the corner by themselves.
You should most definitely do it! If you met at McD's every week and he proposed there then I would say use mini cheeseburgers! haha, jk....I am just saying that it is ALL about the love and the meaning between you two...anyone who thinks it is lame doesn't matter! Plus, who doesn't love a good chocolate coffee bean...your party will be jazzed up on caffeine too, another plus!
I would include a little card detailing your story, it will be so lovely if you did that ... you could even diy
I think this is an adorable favor, especially given the special meaning of it. Just make sure you share that special meaning with your guests and they will love it as much as you do!
